My Best Friend’s Closet is truly a magical place with an amazing owner! I went in with the intention to just look around, and I walked out with a fabulous jacket. The selection is top notch full of amazing designer items at great prices. Definitely a place you must check out!

Loved my visit here! This place truly summed up the feeling of shopping is therapy. The owner helped me choose items to try on that would fit and in styles I was looking for. The jewelry section is what really captured me. It’s hard to find an amazing place that does second hand curated jewelry that’s all good quality, but I happily would have taken every piece of jewelry there home! So happy to have a new place to shop for unique and good quality gifts. Really appreciative of the kind owner and staff who dedicated time to talking to me and making my day.

I recently moved to the area and have been so excited to visit this consignment shop. My friend came in from Seattle and I included Best Friend's closet on the list of must sees. I was disappointed, neither of us found anything and the vibe is definitely snobby. I won't be going back.

My friend recommended this amazing shop & took me here while I was visiting from SoCal & now I see why. What a great collection of designer clothing, bags, shoes & other accessories! All top labels & all in excellent condition & relatively new - many with original tags still on them! I'm in love with the LV shoes I got & may need to return soon for one of the Chanel jackets (if they aren't already sold)! Plus great service which is so rare in consignment shopping - the owner is so welcoming & helped me find my size in several items. I will make a point of visiting this shop every time I come to town!PS- I see a few snarky reviews here about the owner not taking in clothes that are not to her standard. TBH this is one of the reasons her shop is such a gem. It is purely high-quality designer merchandise - that is what she curates here. It is not a vintage store or a buffalo exchange. While I was shopping, 2 new consigners came in & she was warm & welcoming to both & accepted items from both based on what she felt she could sell knowing her customers. And one argued with her about not taking some of her items, which were neither new nor designer, and was quite persistent despite the fact the owner was clear what she sells in her store - the owner was polite but candid, never rude, but the seller was kind of disrespectful to her. I feel like these reviews that criticize her for not taking all their Zara pants, or pricing high end designer items at market price don't understand the market & the boutique she has built here & why people come to shop here. It's like walking into a Rolls Royce dealership and complaining the prices are too high, or they wont put your used 10yr old Camray on their lot. No offense against Toyotas or anything, but that dealership buys & sells Rolls Royces, their customers come there to buy Rolls Royces, and when the owner clarifies they don't accept Camrays, they aren't being rude, they are managing their business model. As one critic points out, there's so many options for consignment, so if you want to try to sell some used clothing, bring it to a shop that sells similar clothing and you'll make more money. Because many people DO want to buy used Zara pants, but they won't go here.

Nice young worker then the older lady that was extremely rude walks in and kills my shopping vibe is was 11 am and she was already saying strange comments.It's okay shes stuck with all that stuff and I will just go pay regular price and get it new. I think she could careless about bad reviews but for people with good energy please go elsewhere this place was so unpleasant.

This is my favorite Chicagoland consignment store for designer fashions for women. The owner Gilat, is such a lovely lady. She always makes you feel welcome and provides top level service from the moment you step in and step out. Gilat has exceptionally good taste with everything that she curates for the store and is very knowledgeable of fashion and trends. The store is always well merchandised with so many amazing high quality items at bargain pricing. It’s almost impossible to not leave without making a purchase! I was thrilled to shop there yesterday and purchase a fabulous pair of Frame jeans NWT along with two pairs of designer sunglasses from Chanel and Tom Ford. You absolutely MUST pay Gilat a visit!

I’ve been wanting to shop here for ages, but was always there at the wrong time. Finally, when I timed it right as soon as I entered the owner, Gidat, knew exactly how to help me. In less than a half hour I had the perfect dress and accessories. My new favorite store!

I recently purchased a Prada bag from My Best Friend’s Closet and it looks brand new! Gilat worked with me on pricing and she shipped my bag just a few hours after completing the transaction. She is the absolute best!! I will definitely keep an eye out for new arrivals.

I went into Gilat's store today on the rec of a friend. She is SO MUCH FUN. She's direct, knows her inventory and was connecting with every shopper in some way. She is like a force of nature in that i don't know how she was so kind and fun with each person she connected with. Her shop is high end but she did have a lovely scarf, which I was happy to find out was less than the reasonable sticker price she had assigned to it. Overall this is a great place to go if you want to peruse, shop and chat. Will be back!

This place is amazing! Gilat is extremely knowledgeable about fashion. Tell her the occasion you’re shopping for and she’ll find you perfect outfits at a fraction of the retail price. She will give her honest opinion and is never pushy. It will be the most fun you ever have shopping!!

Called to see if I could give them some clothes and the owner was very pushy and rushed and tbh sounded like she had a Karen attitude. She had a condescending tone and also was classist. Once I said I only had Zara pants she was super quick to end the call. Don't appreciate local business owners being rude to local residents. Update: she called the cops on me for writing this honest review.
