Finally found a knowledgeable and friendly shop that welcomes and expertly cares for my "tweener" Jaguars (2001-2009). I have to drive 3-4 hours to get to them, but they are well worth the inconvenience.

Teddy did a great job on my 2007 Jaguar XJ which had a multi year problem ultimately caused by a faulty instrument cluster. While the whole project took considerably longer than i expected, and was punctuated by a few courageous decisions, the job was completed to my satisfaction. When first driving up to Imports Unlimited I was not re-assured by the collection of broken flat-tired British cars of all types sitting out front. However, Dave Schaid was very straightforward and so knowledgeable about my Jaguar E-Type. He spent a few weeks sorting it out, then, due to an electrical issue got a chance to fix a few more things. While the cost has been high, I feel that the work is done properly and have confidence that he is one of the few mechanics in the Chicago-land area that really understand these cars. I call him my Concierge-Mechanic, as he is very generous in being available by text virtually anytime!

I just want to say I had to have my car towed in from Milwaukee. I'm an author so I know people. All I dealt with were great people who did a great job on my car and I thank them again for their service. I'm military also so I know people!

Teddy did an awesome job with my Defender 90 - very thorough, super helpful and knowledgeable. Gave great advice on what should be taken care of in the shop vs what I could do, led to a great buying experience for the truck. Office team is great too, everyone is really friendly.

What a nightmare. Five weeks in the shop, beginning in mid March, $3,000.00 in repairs and when we went to pick up the vehicle, it had two minor dents in the doors and the vehicle sustained $5,600.00 in hail damage that we were not informed about. Maybe, it was assumed that we wouldn't notice that our vehicle now resembled a giant, dimpled golf ball when it was returned.Then to top that, we noticed a puddle of water under the vehicle and when we inquired why; we were told that the engine compartment needed a good cleaning due to a known, prior oil leak, so they gave the engine a final wash down. Initially we thought it unusual that water was used to clean the engine compartment, but we soon learned, after leaving the facility that the vehicle now had a large coolant leak that wasn't present when the vehicle was initially brought in and it soon overheated, leaving us stranded and requiring immediate additional repairs at another shop, costing another $2,800.00 and the vehicle; although finally running properly still had almost $6,000.00 in body damage that we are still working through.Dozens and dozens of phone calls, expensive rental cars, inconvenience, getting stranded and the vehicle still needs extensive body repairs. Sure, the hail wasn't anyone's intentional fault, but the whole situation is still unresolved five months later and we're still dealing with repair shops, insurance companies and now, a third repair shop to repair the body. Not exactly worthy of anything but a disappointing evaluation.

I’m so grateful to have found this shop when I moved to Lake Forest. I trust Teddy 100% with all of my vehicles. He is honest, fair, and very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
