“Very organized and clean store. Damian Pilurs was very helpful in the purchase of the bike (Roscoe 7) I came in looking for. I informed him that this was my first MTB and that bike components are not very familiar to me. Damian was very helpful and not condescending at all and helped me understand all the important aspects/features of my new bike. I also test rode the bike before purchasing and the associate went above and beyond in that as well, with filling the tires and adjusting the seat. He broke down the specs to me as I was wary in the purchase of such an expensive bike. Everything was smooth and efficient. Definitely a store I would return to in the future if I needed tips for my new MTB.”

“Incredible store with incredible staff and owner. It's been a *lot* of years since I went to the store (for a repair and parts), because I moved to another state. But googled this store in a nostalgic moment, and was glad to see such great reviews. They are completely deserved.”

“Worked with me for over an hour and through multiple bike trials to find the right fit. Made sure every bike was tuned up properly before each test. And they were extremely helpful with fitting the saddle and bars perfectly. Before I left they did one more final inspection, oiled the chain, and helped me get my bike into my car. Phenomenal service and attention to detail! Will definitely be back for anything I need!”

“I'm really happy with the quality and speed of service.
The gentleman that owns a place is very nice, personable, and wonderful.
I don't know if it's the most affordable, however, I'm happy with the quality of work and the price I paid. I found it fair.”

“I brought my frame in to have a bottom bracket installed. They really know their stuff and did it professionally, quickly and for a very fair price. Looking at their shop and workspace, they are really experienced in working on high end bikes. I will certainly be back.”

“Wow! I just cannot say enough good things about the staff and service at Green Bay Cycles. My father recently had major ankle surgery, so must use a “knee scooter” to be able to move around the house while keeping his surgical foot suspended. The scooter has a handbrake on the handlebars similar to brakes on a bicycle, so when we couldn’t get the brake to work I figured maybe there was a chance that a bike shop might be able to fix it.The staff immediately went to work, moving the scooter’s handbrake from the right side to the left, adjusting it for the softer pull and closer grip that my father desired, and even fixed the parking brake—all the while projecting a welcoming warmth and sincere desire to help. With the scooter now transformed into a match safer and more user-friendly device, I took out my credit card feeling happy to pay whatever price they thought fair. To my surprise, however, they refused to charge me! Instead, the owner shared his own experience healing from a similar surgery, and how much people had helped him along the way.To say I left Green Bay Cycles impressed would be a major understatement. I cannot remember the last time I experienced a business anywhere near as friendly, responsive or accommodating. GBC staff, thank you again!!”

“Perfect place for a newbie! I went not knowing much about bikes and was helped by Sprite. Sprite was patient, took the time to educate me on bike necessities, size me, and let me test ride until I found the perfect bike. She was extremely helpful and kind!”

“I took my bike in for a mid season checkup to Lake Bluff Hub and Cycle and can’t say enough good things about the work Nate Perkins did.

I contacted Nate because I wanted to know if he would install new tires and bar tape that I bought online. He said yes not only that, but he is happy to work on my canyon, where some shops frown on mail order bikes. I asked him to check on a pedal stroke clicking and he said he would like to just go through the bike like a tuneup. Given the miles I agreed.

He went above and beyond, shortened and adjusted some cabling, tightened spokes, replaced bearings … all at a fair competitive price.

I rode yesterday and the bike felt new again. So smooth and fast. Everything is quiet again too.”

“Larry and his staff at Wilmette Bicycle are second to none. Larry has always been so helpful for many years. He helped outfit our youth lacrosse program w pads to protect the young goalies. More recently, he helped fix a stationary bicycle in which the motor malfunctioned. He couldn’t have been more generous w his time and expertise, and got it back up and running in less than a day. Great service and great place…. Always.”

“I love this place! I purchased my first bike at the original location from the original owner, Frank (great guy. Interestingly, he didn't originally open the Pony Shop to be a bike shop, but rather a bookstore. In the bookstore he also stocked a couple of folding bikes. The bikes caught on, and now look).”

“This shop is a gem! I came and talked to Greg who had a campagnolo tool I needed for a chain repair. After coming back to town after 20 years, it's a obvious Greg and his team at Deerfield are a staple in this community. They have a great selection to suit your needs. Stop in and check these guys out! Thanks again, and happy riding! ?”

“We have always had a great experience in buying bikes here. Everyone is very knowledgeable and super helpful. I have purchased a bike for myself and 2 for my kids. We will be back soon to trade one in for a 20inch. We will continue to be patrons of Erik’s for any of our bike needs.”
