Bought my dream PS2 and Medal of Honor (favorite game) and am having a ball. Helpful and great prices. Going back to buy Myst. Fun to shop and owner will take time to help.

Then and now is fantastic, these guys are fair and helpful. You want chit chat, go on social media, a bar, or old fashioned telephone. If someone dosnt say hello when ya walk in, say hello anyways. These guys see hundreds of people a week and not everyone is a conversationalist. It's not a reason not to go here. I come here with my son who has autism and is different we stay for 30 minutes and they've never complained or looked at us in wanting us to leave. Support this small business, they are fair, honest and where else can you go? eBay? Lastly for anyone that can't understand why you can't return games under certain circumstances is because some people are not honest, they'll play the games and bring them back for a refund. I'm sure almost everyone can understand that. Keep up the good work then and now- we love the store!

It’s been a while since I’ve stopped in but this place definitely respects gaming in general and all gamers. All products I’ve purchased have worked and work flawlessly to this day(consoles games controllers peripherals). Support local small business!

If I could leave a negative start review I would. I never write reviews for stores I go to but this one is the first. I went in to purchase a game for my boyfriend and once I did and realized that I had bought the wrong game and called before heading back to get a refund for the game the employee that answered told me to come in and give me a refund so when I arrived to the store and asked for my refund the same employee looked at me with confusion and said that it's there "store policy" to not give refunds only in store credit. So why was I lied to? Was this employee not aware of the policy or just lied to me? I will never understand a no refund policy. That doesn't seem right especially considering that I will NEVER shop at this store again. And to top it off, the OWNER himself was rude, unaccommodating, and was not able to do anything to help me out. Now I'm left with $70 worth of i store credit that i'll more than likely never use because that store all they sell there is overpriced old garbage.

They have good prices. Sometimes they have a lot of good to great games and sometimes they don't. They can't just buy this kinda stuff in big quantities so it's understandable. What kills this place is the trade in value. Wow! 10% on average online prices. I have traded them 10 nes games before, they literally put them on shelf immediately and sold 9 of them and made $175 profit in 15 minutes. Disc they check, but carts get put up right away. They gave me $45 which I spent there. This videogame addiction is going to have to come to a halt, until I find a better spot.

The man running that store is a real jerk. They have no website for me to check what they give for games. I tried to look at the screen on the computer for some of the games were going for in the guy was just a total jerk.

I came into the store for a nice peruse of their selection, maybe coming out with a game or two. I was expecting a decently stocked shop with the most popular retro games/consoles (like Mario, Zelda, etc), especially after people reviewed this place praising it's stock of games. But man, was it underwhelming.I came in, with flashing eyes of excitement (bc we all def. do that whenever coming into a store) looked around through a few shelves, and was thoroughly disappointed realizing how empty certain shelves are, how little quality games/consoles they stocked, and whatever was In stock, was mostly a bunch of trash filler titles that no one cares about. The only thing that caught my eye was some random Nintendo merch that a Walmart would probably stock.I didn't even care to look at the prices bc there was nothing worth looking at... Unfortunate. So don't come if you want the classic games that everyone is interested in, bc they probably won't have it.If you want a solid Retro games store in the Chicago area, Retro Dimensions is pretty good and The Exchange is also not bad.As a message to the owner, please, if you can, improve your store by organizing and stocking your shelves with actually good games (like the Mario's, Zelda's, etc) and consoles (like the Nes, GameCube, etc) bc as of now, it really is devoid of anything worth a purchase. I'm saying this constructively, not aggressively. Seriously. I hope you change the store for the better, bc it needs a facelift.Thank you and have a great day. :)

Decent selection and prices. I say 4 stars because I’ve called a few times before and asked questions about some stuff and got snobby responses.

I dunno man, a lot of people here have mentioned this store has some great products and is a cool place overall, but I was disappointed. most of the shelves are fairly empty and what's there is like 90% bargain bin-type sports games. there's also a lot of crates and other random junk lying around; that would be fine if they were recently setting up, but it made it feel a bit too much like a junkyard in tandem with the general lack of interesting stuff on sale. prices seemed pretty fair and I was intrigued by their kits for certain consoles that include the console/cables/controller, but I have no intention of coming here again unfortunately.

I’ve been coming here since 2011 and Sean has always been welcoming and now coming in 2023 nothing has changed defensively recommend this place if you’re looking for some retro video games!
