This post might be lengthy, but it is well worth it. After my nine-year-old Shepherd passed I was on the hunt to find a reputable breeder for my next German Shepard(s). We have been looking at many breeders, however, Vom Ragnar was on our radar. I called Natasha and from the very first moment while reserving the puppies, I knew this was it. I was beyond ecstatic. I was able to get two puppies from this amazing breeder. Being from New York, I was super anxious to meet them and wait for them to grow. I flew to Chicago, which was such a pleasant experience, I wish I had more time to spend with Natasha. You can see she is the real deal and adores her dogs. I say this because my male Hero and female Zara have been with me for 4 days and my two baby puppies are more than what I hoped for. Their intelligence, their character, their mannerism-behaviors, and poise all show Top Notch quality. This is a pure result of a well run breeder/kennel. I am honored and grateful to have two beautiful black German shepherd puppies from Vom Rager. Natasha and Team! You exceeded all our expectations & you are raising beautiful dogs. We drove for more than ten hours from Long Island, New York, to Vom Ragnar, Illinois. Finally received our beloved German Shepherd puppy, thanks to Nataiya for being professional and knowledgeable and making the process very easy and smooth! I recently had the chance to meet Natasha and Jay at Vom Ragnar German Shepherds, and I was extremely impressed by their knowledge and dedication. They are true professionals and perfect stewards of the German Shepherd breed.

I brought my female to mate with Dedo Von Media in March of 2024. Its been two month and our female gave birth to gorgeous puppies. We are very exited of the result we got.

Cannot recommend highly enough! Easy to work with, very helpful and knowledgeable, and my puppy is perfect and everything I was looking for! I flew 3 hours to pick him up. On pickup, Natalya was extremely helpful, answered all of my questions, gave me some great advice, and exceeded all of my expectations. It’s clear she cares very much about her puppies and their homes and wants the best for them all!

This family seriously cares about the health and well-being of all of their dogs and puppies. Natalya has answered every text/email I’ve had throughout this long journey, and has only ONCE ever taken more than a day to respond. This was my first time ever going through a reputable breeder, I was a bit nervous, but Natalya and her Husband Jay quickly eased any concerns I had. Thank you to this wonderful family for my lovely girl Roxanne. I without a doubt will be recommending Vom Ragnar Shepherds to everyone.

We've had our Vom Ragnar Shepherd for 2.5 years now, and she's really a special dog. Beautifully bred, even temperament, good natural protection instincts, but eager to work and train. Fantastic, balanced dog.

I had been searching for about a year for my first German Shepherd ever. After doing research on the breed and contacting different breeders throughout that year process I landed on Vom Ragnar. The puppy I got is beyond amazing and already doing so well in his new home! He is a stunning male from a premier litter and his temperament is phenomenal!
The responsiveness and attention to detail from the people there was top tier! They also supply amazing dog food and vitamins for your puppy to buy and go home with.

We are extremely please with our GSD from Vom Ragnar. I flew 3 1/2 hours to pick her up and it was a flawless trip. Natalya was very professional, helpful and prompt in our communications prior to, and after, picking up our pup at 8 weeks old. She will be 2 in July and has exceeded our expectations with her beauty, grace, intelligence, and her self proclaimed agility. I am seriously enamored by her beauty and receive so many compliments on her beauty and disposition. She is healthy, happy and thriving and we couldn’t imagine our lives without her! Update two years later. 5 star on the day of purchase to 1 now.
First, let me say I love my dog and despite all the troubles wouldn’t change a thing. But I spent top dollar to get the best generics and it simply hasn’t been the case.
I’m writing this at 2 am because I just woke up to her diarrhea poop on the floor. She gets sick so easily and often that this is like a monthly thing.
It doesn’t happen as often now but we’ve had to go to the vet so many times throughout the last two years. Her immune system is really weak or something. I’ve never had a dog become sick as often as she does. And it was way more frequent and worse when she was a puppy.
Also there’s some behavioral issues we’re working on. As she got older, she became more anxious about everything. Especially other dogs. She’s gotten a lot better but the smallest thing used to set her off.
Not only that, one of her ears didn’t go up so people ask all the time what breed she is.
Again, I love my dog and wouldn’t change it for the world. But it’s frustrating knowing I paid top dollar for what I thought was the best genetics and instead facing so many problems.
Honestly reading the owners reply to the person who lost their 2 year old dog from here is sickening. So cold and zero sympathy in the response. I pray to God that my Chance, also a two year old GSD from here lives a long time despite these issues. I would be so heart broken if she died from cancer at two years old. To blame the owner for cancer in a two year old dog is ridiculous!
Update: just look at the cold reply by the owner. Blame blame blame. I have experiences with dogs and she’s living a great life. Multiple walks a day, training and acre of fenced in land. She’s a great dog. One of the smartest dogs Ive raised. To say I ruined my dog. lol. How is it that she’s the only dog that gets sick so frequently when the other dogs don’t? She’s fully vaccinated. And just to repeat, I have a great dog. And I also have many pictures of her as a puppy going on great adventures and a lot of socialization. I have proof of her attending puppy socialization classes, play dates, and her monthly grooming session since a puppy. The issues are genetic. Honestly pathetic. What would reaching out to this women with absolutely no heart do compared to working with my local vet? She’s an “expert” that knows it all despite having barely known the puppy for 8 weeks out the many litters she was part of. Buyer beware. Zero sympathy. All of her dogs are 100% perfect. And if the dog gets cancer at 2 years old, remember it’ll be your fault! Hahaha
Please note, I don’t want anything from this breeder. No compensation, slander or anything like that. I just want to give buyers a warning. Spending almost $5000 doesn’t guarantee strong genes even if they adhere to good breeding standards. Life happens. Just like how healthy human adults can give birth to a baby with genetic defects. I do find it despicable how heartless these people are however. A warning to all.

Vom Ragnar is the cleanest and more panoramic Kennel I ever went. They treat the dogs with deep respect and dignity. I have the opportunity to see Dido o promising Champ. And believe me is very impressive and beautiful . Greatness. I wish to comeback someday not too far and get another puppy. My puppy exceeded all my expectations by far.
