just went here for a purchase. mixer was marked $5.99. rang me up for $9.99. disputed the price. checked the shelves. yup, $5.99 is correct. was told “sorry price changed.”
just so we are all clear:
in illinois, retailers are required to charge the advertised price for items. if an item was marked at x but you were charged y, this could be considered deceptive pricing under the illinois consumer fraud and deceptive business practices act.
i encourage others to double-check their receipts and report any discrepancies. the store should honor the marked prices and improve their pricing practices to avoid misleading customers.
i won’t be shopping here any longer.

I had a key made at Ace for approximately $2.50! The key works fine! With both Walmart and Menards now using self-service key making machines, at $4.00 or more per key (and the keys don't work), I am excited that Ace is still going strong!

A little higher priced then the big box stores. That is to be expected, I understand. But they always seem to have what I need when I'm in a pinch. That makes the price more then worth it! Keep up the good work!
