Review on storage units in Carterville. Used to be a good place to work with, but current owner, Wesley Lehman, does not appear to be interested in his clientele. I have been using this facility for over 10 years and it's not the same. I often deposit my rental in their mailbox and then receive late notice because they don't accept the fact that they picked it up after I deposited it - some times several days later. With their "automated" system, they ignore what the customer has done correctly. Example: My rent is due on October 3. I deposited my check in their mailbox on that date (a Tuesday) but because their office is closed on Tuesdays they did not receive it on that date. As a matter of fact, I received a late notice (on Oct 8) including that I was now locked out of my unit. Then I received a notice on Oct. 9 that my payment had been received - with no explanations, no apology, no indication that the "locked out" notice was their error. I called to find out what was going on and could not get the gentleman I spoke with to do anything except keep saying it was an "automated system" and they cannot change it. This is not in any way customer friendly. I do not ever post comments on websites, but this time really got to me and has made me wish to help possible customers review carefully who they are dealing with - not a customer friendly company who will not listen to complaints or acknowledge their mistakes.

Brightly lit at night. Has gates that close to keep the crooks out. The guy in the office is very nice and helpful. They have cameras and fences around the whole place.

Horrible business owners!!! I have been a customer for over 7 years! The price was raised to almost double with ZERO notice and then when I question it, im told inflation, okay fine but that ridiculous right before the Holidays. Then when I ask who the owner is Im told they dont want that information given out and to either pay or move out! Very unprofessional way to run a business!! I will gladly move out and contact the BBB!

I used them for two and a half years and never once did the price change I always paid on time too. And then out of nowhere they doubled the price then had the nerve to tell me when I called they were gonna charge me twice in one month because the price went up. It gave me no time to find somewhere for our stuff so I emptied it and told them to shove it. Incredibly rude and broke a contract. DO NOT USE THEM WASTE OF MONEY. Plus my unit was always dirty from the gravel road by the units and my shit was COVERED in mouse poop and alot was chewed on by mice. The road is awful too the gravel tried to tear up my car.

My big complaint is the overzealous use of large gravel. It is damaging to my tires and suspension on my truck. It's unneccessary wear and tear. Also, nearly turned my ankle on it two or three times while unloading my truck. Of course the business is not liable for anything, but I am considering taking my business elswhere. It's ridiculous. The employees are friendly, no complaint there, but access. Getting in and out and the huge rocks...no thanks. This was a poor business decision on the part of the business.
