I like the products and all but, my biggest problem is they have no cashiers in the evening, When I approached one of the cashier's replied there cutting hours, but you are still here so why not scan my order , they are rude as hell!!I'm tired after a long day at work and still have to scan my own groceries!! That does not fit well with me!! I wish you can change this and have a cashier till closing!!! Or I would have to choose another store.

Sale prices never ring up properly at register. I buy the same sale items each time I go and I have to wait at the register forever for them to override it. Seems fishy. I don't know why no one else is catching it. Seen it a few times with different items.

On October 26th, 2023, I made the mistake to go to Tony’s in Hanover Park around 7:30sh to buy two weeks worth of groceries. Not only I found myself at a huge store with overly priced items but I got shock after spending more than an hour going aisle to aisle that no register was opened . There were two young guys cleaning the conveyor belts of two registers talking and having a good time.I asked one of them if his register was opened and he said no. To my surprise I had to get in line to use the self-served register which there’s no room to put your groceries or my bags because there’s not enough room to put your bagged items in the bagging area. I proceeded to go to a register and started to ring each of my items, soon I had no more room at the bagging area so every time I ring an item the register called out one of the employees to enter their employee number to override the error message. I started to get anxious because I needed an override for each item that I rang. All of the sudden there were more than 15 people waiting to use one of the registers. Two women were going register to register to override error messages. So, I asked the woman who came to my register and I asked her if she was the manager at first she didn’t want to respond to me but then she said why do you need help?. I responded that why won’t you open a couple of register because I have a lot of groceries and this is taking too long to be overriding error messsages every time I ring an item? and Alexandra got and attitude like if I was bothering and she got defensive. She responded they were short handed. There were like two employees, two young guys sweeping the floors one standing outside the customer service window talking and laughing. I said come on there’re way too many people waiting and no register that are open. Continuing waiting for overrides the other girl came and asked do you want me to help you ring your groceries, I answered ‘No’ it’s too late, I’m almost done. I said you could open another register and she replied “ we can’t” I asked why not? She replied the most ridiculous thing I ever heard, she said “we can’t open the registers because it is the company’s policy. I got more upset because I was purchasing over $300 worth of overly priced groceries, I was ringing each of my items by myself, I was bagging my groceries by myself, spent more time at the register than the time it took to go around the store shopping. And to hear this absurd answer that because is Tony’s policy, to not open registers when there are a lot of people who are waiting at the self-serve registers to ring their own groceries and they have about 5 employees there doing nothing talking and laughing sweeping the registers area having great conversation. I will never go back there. I prefer to leave my money in Fiesta Market which is down the road on Irving Park Road in Streamwood then go to Tony’s ever again. Where’s their customer service skills? All they want is our money. No customer appreciation at all.An upset unappreciated customer.

Great produce and international foods selection. However, I am really upset that they have stopped carrying most of the organic produce that they once had.

This place has gone downhill since they were bought out. High prices, understaffed always, HORRIBLE self check out experience. Staff is nice but the scales are not calibrated correctly. If you have a full cart of groceries but there's no cashier you get the LOVELY experience of the self checkout yelling for every other item for a full 20 minutes. FUN TIMES.

Great prices, you can save some money. The only thing is I wish their fresh meat quality was better.

Employees aren't trained and are racist , my mom asked them to do a price check where they had made a mistake and the items was marked wrong price. They were being rude to her and raising their voice assuming she is wrong without even checking. Next, I kindly asked to have the item checked and they wouldn't walk up to go see it and so I take a picture and they have the audacity to tell me that's still not their fault. So I asked to speak to a manager who barely spoke English and I wasn't asking for the product to get a price match at this point because I realized these guys aren't understanding English, but it took everything to tell this manager ..hey you have an incorrect price written here ...and he tells me if I have a problem, I should contact corporate. I even told him, all he has to do is take the mylar off and move it to the correct location, but he was just not getting it. He said no one else complains about this. That was his reasoning on something clearly put in the wrong spot with the wrong price mylar. Sad part is, even after spending all the time talking to the Manager, he didnt even fix the prices. He just had to take the mylar tag off and put it on the correct spot. This would have taken 10 seconds. Next time I walk in this store I will not waste time with any of their associates.

They have good things but to get prices or names of things in this place is hard. As an example they sell different flavors of tamales but they don’t care to tell you which is which, apply that to many other stuff. Also that ready meals area is unattended, and the people in the deli look like work is forced on them. Unless you follow them around multiple times they won’t ask you if you need help even if there’s only you.

The cakes are amazing but horrible customer service. We had to wait for 20 minutes for somebody to come help us. I would say customer is very bad need to improve that. Honestly looks like no one is interested in working.

Prices are kind of up there but I appreciate the variety of international products. The store layout forces you to go through the whole store before checking out so a quick visit to grab 1 thing isn't going to happen.
