I mailed in a Canon lens that had stopped working: turnaround for the diagnosis, repair, and cleaning was speedy, service was friendly, and they kept me informed at every step. Would recommend.

Recently I had my Sony A99M2 got repaired by Royal Camera. Right from the beginning, they have been upfront with estimates and prompt with their responses. Their costs were reasonable, and the repair is reliable. I could not be happier with Royal Camera with their professionalism, courteousness and efficiency.

I wasn't happy with the service here. The shop was almost an hour away, and I dropped my camera off for a free estimate. Talking to the guy at the desk he said that they search for the best price on parts which is why estimates take a long time, and he said that I could send them a return shipping label and pay a $6 box and handling fee to have my camera returned to me whether they made the repairs or I declined them. I planned to do this since the shop is almost an hour away from me. It took a while for them to get back to me and they gave me a quote of almost $400. The quote was not itemized in any way, and I had to specifically request a breakdown. 75% of the cost consisted of a part that I was able to find online from multiple sources for less than half of their cost, plus they were giving themselves approximately 100/hr in labor costs which seems a bit high assuming they gave themselves 1 hour to finish it. If I can watch a guy on YouTube do the same replacement in 20 minutes, that could be closer to 300/hr if they worked at the same speed. Next the people answering the estimates@ email didn't pay attention to customer responses. I asked them after getting the quote if I could just buy the part myself, drop it off, and have them do the repair with that. I sent a follow up email asking if they agreed and they had no idea what I was talking about. Eventually they figured it out and declined my request. I asked them to box up the camera and return it to me in the same state of functionality that it was dropped off and that I would send them a shipping label. They refused to ship it citing that they didn't feel confident that their repair technicians could return it to the state in which I dropped it off before shipping, so it would be better for me to drive an hour each way to the store to confirm that it was put back together properly. Finally, this shop has very limited hours. I tried driving out there twice and arrived at 2:30 and 1:55 on a Saturday but the shop was closed both times. It wasn't until I arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday that I was finally able to get my camera back. Picking it up during the week was not an option due to the long drive during rush hour after work because they close so early.

Very satisfied customer! I sent my Panasonic Hpx170 camcorder so that they could repair the audio issue that it was having. I had already sent it to a different camera shop somewhere else in the us and they could not repair it due to not being able to get the parts. Royal camera repaired it with no problem at all! They sent me my quote and a week later I had my camera back into my hands with the audio working great again!? thank you!

I do not know about you, but I get attached to my camera equipment.I only purchase and use professional Canon Equipment. My Canon 24 X 70 2.8 which is no less than 15 years old stopped commenting with the camera body.I sent it into Canon and they sent it back telling me they no longer have parts for that lens.I purchased another, similar vintage, on Ebay and it worked fine.I kept looking at my broken lens and the optics and exterior were perfect and it broke my heart to dispose of it.I found Royal online, and emailed them my dilemma and Vince got back to me Right Away, He did every time.I communicated with him and he said they can fix it.Gave me an estimate and I sent it off. They fixed my BABY and I’m SO HAPPY she is all better. Can’t wait to take another 150,000 photos with her, but now with mirrorless, works GREAT with the adaptor.Thank you, Royal, I could have not asked for a more professional transaction.

I took my 2 Nikon cameras and one lens in to be cleaned and checked.Prior to bringing them in, I was told it could be done by the end of the week. When I dropped them off, I was told I would get a quote on the work by the end of the week and that the work would take 2 weeks. They put a 'rush on it and had the work done in 1 week.

I had an issue with my camera and I reached out to Royal Camera to fix it with a same day turnaround. They fixed it and I was able to photograph the same night. Highly recommended.

I was very pleased with the repair with Royal Camera. They were very responsive to my questions, both on the phone and via email. I have been using the camera for a couple I days and I'm very pleased. By the way, there is a very large camera store in Georgia, but they are so large, you feel lost in their system. In my opinion, it is better to business with a smaller, reliable shop that offers quick, individual attention to your needs.

After having little luck finding a repair shop local to me to repair my Canon 24-70mm lens that suddenly started to throw a faulty communication error code, I stumbled upon this repair shop with a quick Google search. After reading the many good reviews, I decided to ship my lens (my baby lol) to them from Middle Tennessee. My lens arrived to them on June 1st, and they had a diagnosis and estimate sent to me less than 24 hours later. The repair was much more reasonably priced than I imagined it would be. I approved the estimate, and it was repaired and on the way back to me on the 7th! The communication was amazing, and I cannot believe how quickly they were able to repair and have it back to me. My lens is working perfectly now! I hope to not have any camera/lens issues anytime in the foreseeable future, but if I do, I will be definitely using you all again! Thank you so much!

Had a Epson 3800 projector go out after a lightning strike. Not even two years old. Would not power on. Sent it in for repair. It was sent back to me, I powered it on and everything seemed fine. Then I noticed watching movies, kids playing games etc the the screen during dark scenes will constantly scale the dark portions of the screen brighter and darker, like flickering. Brighter and darker. It is doing it all the time but more noticeable during dark screens. I worked with Royal Camera to fix it after I had already paid them $500. New bulb, new hdmi cable, new receiver nothing fixed it. They said I need to send it back to them so I did. They kept it for another month and said nothing is wrong with it, changed me for shipping both ways, (around $100 round trip) did not fix it. Got my projector back, hooked it up and it was messing up within 5 min even though they said it was working perfectly. So now I'm $600 in repairs on a 2k projector, that will work but the screen flicker makes it not enjoyable. I'll use someone else next time.

Amazing service. I sent out an old Canon ZR800 mini dv camcorder that I use to transfer old tapes and sometimes shoot with in order to get a retro vibe. The camcorder had started having issues during playback, the picture would be unclear and distorted. Vince called me and notified me of an estimate which I felt was reasonable. I just got the camera back and it works like new. I look forward to doing business with Royal Camera Service should I need to in the future!

Sent 24-70 Canon lens in for a busted mount. Repair estimate came back at $800. I had Royal Camera ship it back to me unfixed. Resent it to Canon for the same repair. They fixed for $450. Do with this knowledge what you desire.

I chose this repair shop due to the fact they came up first in Google search. Big Mistake. They sent me an estimate for over 500.00 for a camera that cost 300.00. They Claimed that I opened the camera which is false. I paid $14.00 to ship the camera via USPS priority mail. They quoted me price of $36.00. I called them and they agreed to $26.00. They agreed to recycle my camera for free. Lesson Learned here
