I would definitely give this place 0 stars, we catered Saturday 15 lbs of food & at the time of pick up the food was all cold. Pick up was 430pm. I called and spoke to "whoever" was in charge and he mentioned that they tell everyone that food after 11 am is set there and can get cold. What type of catering is offered to give food that is cold. We wasted $150 on food for it to be cold. And as i told him too no one said anything about the food after 11am is just set there. He tried to transfer me to the department to talk to them and i said no i cause whats the purpose of me talking to the workers if who is in chage needs to give a solution. Not " i will tell them to tell everyone about after 11am the food sits until pick up " Management is trash if you can't give a solution for giving out cold catered food.

Dino's has really good (great) chicken tamales wrapped in corn husks, spicy but not overly salty. Really good. Taste homemade.

Dinos is a hit or miss supermarket, always and always check your expiration dates here because you won't believe how many items are expired. The meat department is pretty good and know what they are doing. Some of the fruit or vegetables are rotted and they have them for sale. Then they put sale signs on items and you make it to the register and there like this product is not part of the deal when they have the sign on it.

Terrible! I just went across the street to buy some Corn and Tomatito's Should have been a 10 minute run, 10AM 4 people in the line with one cashier She call's Roberto up to help her, he slowly strolled up to the express lane, coffee and pastry in hand. Before tending to me, he decided to take a bite of his pastry, then continued to ring me up. Before bagging my groceries, took another bite of his pastry and drank some more coffee. I watch as he did the same for the next customer, unbelievable! I would give less stars if possible!

I only go here if I have to or am to lazy to go to to another store. The produce here is a hit or miss sometimes its Ok other times there's fruit flies all over everything. Make sure to check the expiration dates on the items you get. The bakery in here is actually pretty decent and the workers there are nice. Now the cashiers at the main store can't say the same. The taco place in the the back you get what you pay for it's cheap food so it's not great. The meat department seems to be the only good thing about this place but don't buy the carnitas they sell there you'll get mostly fat. And please make the lady selling the corn wear gloves or wash her hands, a little hand sanitizer wouldn't hurt. I've seen her sneeze into her hands and continue making whatever order she was working on, or help bag and go make a snack.

For some unknown reason I do not like to shop for 30 to 45 minutes and then wait in lines to check out. That is what happens when I go to the grocery store down north of Dino's. Burns me up to have to wait in line. I decided to shop at Dino's Finer Foods. The butchers there listened to what I wanted and did an excellent shop giving me my order. The pastries are decently priced and fresh. Produce was good, I liked the prices on the tomatoes especially. The prices on canned and frozen foods were surprisingly competitive. Best thing about it, is when there were two people in line they opened another check out and I didn't have to wait two seconds even!! I plan on coming back next week to do more shopping. Thanks Dino's!!

1 star ONLY. Why? Because at least they sell decent tamales. And negative 4 stars because: #1) only one lane was open and a long line formed due to excessively slow moving under-21 cashier. Two new lanes open, one by the assistant manager. Instead of taking me (the only white person in line) and the 2 guys ahead of me who had also been waiting longer than any other customers, the assistant manager told people behind us to get in the newly opened lines. By the time I finally checked out with my 5 items, ALL, yes ALL of the people who had previously been behind me were already checked out. #2) lady selling tamales at the front of the store finally waited on me. It seemed she was waiting on people in the order they had lined up. She waited on 3 customers ahead of me and then took my order. She started packaging up chicken tamales as I watched and counted, and after pulling out 12 chicken tamales from the pot, she kept pulling out more. I told I only want 12. But she pulled out another 11 tamales that were falling apart and two that were missing the husks. She wrapped them all up in 3 separate packages and handed one package to a woman who had come up on the side AFTER me. Then I was handed my order. Shockingly, I was handed the tamales that were falling part, plus my package was shorted as there were only 11 tamales there. Does the tamale lady really not know how to count, or is it that she believes white customers are stupid and will accept whatever she serves them? #3) I made the mistake of picking up two bags of chips from the display w/ sign that read "2 for $5" only to find out when being checked out that one of the bags was not included in the special. Why, if it was not on sale, was it in the sale display? If the second bag of chips wasn't the sale price, why wouldn't the real, non-sale price be visible? #4) when leaving the store I stopped by the courtesy counter to speak/complain to the manager. I related to him my experience in the check out lane and with the tamale lady. I asked, "Why would the tamale lady take customers out of order and purposely give me the tamales that were falling apart?" He said he would speak to the tamale lady. But I said, no, and again I repeated my question. And also told him that the only reason I could think of was that it was because I was being discriminated against. So, there you have it. I will not step foot in the Hanover Park Dino's again. Why, because Dino's allows its employees to discriminate. And please don't believe this was a one-time occurrence. It's happened to me TWO other times before where I'm the only white person waiting in line with multiple Hispanic people behind me, and suddenly a new lane opens up and the cashier calls the people behind me to come to the newly opened lane. Way to go Dino's management!!!

This grocery store has some upside to it. The taco stand in the back looked good and the butchers did an excellent job on preparing the arrachera. The pastries were super fresh and priced well. Overall, it lacks a lot of the size and price competition like a Jimenez or La Rosita has. Given this is the same distance for me, I am more apt to go to La Rosita and get everything I need at a fair price than go here and overpay on some items.

Go see Gary in Dino's Foods section. I am a fan of the chicken, rice, jalapeño, and onions. Excellent flavor and great value. I have not tried the carnitas yet but will be soon. In my opinion the rice in a mexican restaurant tell the story. It is quality here like everything else here. On par with Los Fernandez in Elmhurst - that says it all.

We come for the lomo and arracherra. Also that resto in the back serves awesome food. Prices are very reasonable and the customer service is excellent.

I went to this store with high hopes. Unfortuantely I have had horrible experiences here. 1)The weights they state on the meat are not accurate. I bought 5lb of ground beef and only received 4.25lb. 2)The produce went bad within 24 hours, it might be the worst produce I have ever had in my life. The limes were rotten, the oranges had no flavor, and the pears were awful. 3)Customer service was horrible, someone in the aisle yelled at me when I asked where something was. I will never shop this horrible store again.

Yes, this place is a grocery store. However in the rear right they have a little kitchen area and serve food. They have REALLY good tamales. They are .50 cents each and come in Chicken or Beef. Sometimes they have a special 12 for $5. It is a great alternative to pizza when you want a quick meal. I have also had Champurrado (like hot chocolate but better!). It is very tasty on a cold winter day. Everything is available to take home, but you could eat it there on the little standing tables they have. Brush up on your Spanish as the ladies may not speak English. There is a man who does speak both sometimes.
