I was able to visit this sweet store at the end of a business trip, and was delighted I went out of my way to go there. You don't enter from what looks like the proper front door, rather there's a door further to the left.The setting within a house on a road in a quaint small town, with warm wood floors gave it great ambience. The fabric is arranged beautifully, mostly around the edges of the room, with sewing machines displayed in the center. (don't forget to go in the front room closest to the front porch). They had two of their embroidery machines humming away making free standing lace projects, so it was a comforting sound with which we're all familiar, and added to the ambience.The staff was great and willing to either help or leave you alone. I recommend you find your way to this store!

Very nice shop! My sister makes quilts, so I wanted to take her. She really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back. Safe is always so helpful

When you begin visiting Stitching on State, you realize right away that they treat you like family. Need help choosing colors? You will probably get more than one person working on it with you! It is a pleasure to do business here and the quality of fabric and classes are top notch.

We came in to look a sewing machines for my wife. She hasn't gotten started in the craft and had a million questions. The owner and an associate showed us around a bit before doing a deep dive information exchange about the machines. I went out to the roomy comfortable front porch while they talked sewing for another 45 minutes. We left with a ton of info. When we're ready to make this big purchase I am sure we'll do it here. Great shop!
