The ladies that work here are amazing and go above and beyond to help us out and track our packages. We have a lot of baby chicks that come in for our store and often times they will call us before they open to let us know our babies are in so we can get them food and water sooner than later. These ladies go above and beyond!!

The Hamel Post Office is a hidden gem, in my opinion. The ladies who operate our location are often seen going above and beyond. They engage our community well, and can often be seen smiling and laughing with whoever is currently there. In a world where great customer service almost seems to be a thing from the past, I'm grateful our postmasters have chosen to go against the grain and 'stay in the past'.

Lady D provides the best service I have ever received from USPS. She is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and dedicated to helping serve her community. Small towns have their benefits and that shines from our favorite postal employee.

After living in Hamel for years, circumstances dictated a temporary move to Edwardsville in 2013. I have since moved back to Hamel, but even during my exile in E'ville, for any complicated postal services, or sometimes just because I like the staff there, I'd drive the 10 miles to use the Hamel Post Office. This is nothing against the fine folks at the Edwardsville branch, but like so many things in my adopted home town, the Hamel Post Office embodies the very best of small town America: personal, personable, & professional. In short, you just couldn't ask for better service or nicer people.

I love this post office. Deanna is always smiling and very helpful. Small hometown service. It's the only post office that I have been in where the people smile. I will go out of my way to go here.

Very poor service. I came in at 4:30 to find the door locked, so I knocked on the door and asked the man behind the counter cleaning up if I had the wrong hours. He completey ignored me. I ended up walking out with my package, and my money, without a word from him.

The website says they close at 4:45...I was there at 4:38...they were closed. Not ok.
