I wanted to share that I am beyond grateful for all of the help from the staff at the YWCA in Gurnee. Mrs. GINA went above and beyond to help me and to get my daycare center the information needed as quickly as possible. This woman loves her job and loves helping others. Everyone has been kind, but this woman went the extra mile during a few different interactions with her. Thank you! ?

They are helpful in person, but email / phone it's so hard to get an answer or even a reply back. They email you back and then no more replies. They say you will get an answer about your application within 30 days but it's been past that. They say email and allow 24 hrs, you wait and no one still answers back. It's so stressful waiting for an answer from them. ?☹️?

Seamless check-in process. All whom I came in contact with regardless if they were my assigned case manager or not, were super helpful and they were able to answer my questions without seeming irritated.

It’s so hard anywhere to get all the help and answered you need over the phone so I decided to go into the office and try to get help. The wait time was very short, I waited not even 5 minutes until someone came out to help me . Victoria Wells is who came out to help and she was amazing!!! I had a lot of questions and things that needed to be changed and she helped me right then and there no hesitation. Thank you so much for the help and patience.

The assistance I received was life changing as a single mom- warning: there is a lot of red tape to cut through in order to receive assistance and working show proof of income for 2 months while paying for childcare really hurt me financially at first but they do credit you once you get approved. Lots of paper work also. I wish the process was easier but once you get approved it will change your life.

I have been calling about the CCAP. I turned in the paperwork in January along with additional paperwork at the beginning of March. The person who handles the emails didn’t see my additional paperwork. No one answers the phone or has a clue of when my daycare will receive the paperwork.

If i can give 10 starts I would this goes to Mr.Ryan Hughes after all the bad experience i went through these pass 3 months he finally fix my case in less than an hour he did an AMAZING JOB ON HELPING ME OUT. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR.RYAN YOU DID THE WORK THAT NOBODY DID YOU WENT ALL OUT AND GOT THIS FIX ASAP GOD BLESS YOU! ? ?YWCA YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKEMR.RYAN.He definitely took some weight off my shoulders!

I was sent redetermination paperwork to fill out. I filled it out, sent it back. After 6 weeks they didn’t answer so my daughter had to be pulled from daycare due to lack of coverage. They finally responded and said I need to send more information. I did that same day. I’ve waited an additional 3 weeks and have been told by supervisors that I will not have a wait. I call every day for an update. The girls who answer the phone are sweet, but they’re not eligibility specialists. The supervisors don’t call back and I’ve never spoke to my case manager even though I’ve left multiple voice mails for weeks. When I’m transferred it rings and rings and has me leave a voice mail. I went in person to the office to talk with someone and the lady didn’t even pull up my case, she wrote down a supervisors number and told me to talk to them. I asked if there was one present, she said no. I could only call them. Great, as they never answer or call back :) I need to get my children back in daycare so I can pay rent. This is the lively hood my of children and I’m not getting answers.

Nobody answered my question. First my application was aproving after three months denied. Our income and taxes still tosame. Why denied? Because of color of my skin? I feel very frustrated from lady and all.
