Not a great Walmart unfortunately. Not maintained very well, disorganized, not clean, long lines, poor staff, and honestly not a place I care to shop at. The parking lot says it all, very run down, garbage everywhere, has a low class vibe going on. This Walmart location is bringing down the Gurnee area, it should be remodeled, and have more of an upbeat vibe going on. The location is in the nicer home area of Gurnee, needs to be reviewed by upper management for a nice refresh and to increase the store presence! I really hope it can get in shape into a nicer store like some Walmarts I have been to, I would totally feel inspired to shop there then, until then, avoid, avoid, AVOID!

I just encountered the rudest, nasty and pathetic excuse for an employee at the Pharmacy. I had selected a OTC cold medicine and inquired if I could make the purchase at the Pharmacy since there was no line. The employee was extremely rude while telling me to go to self check out. I asked her if this was a restricted item needing an attendant to verify she she nastily said no. I went to the self checkout and of course it was a restricted item needing an attendant's input. Now I have to wait for an attendant to arrive to complete checkout. If this woman worked for me and she spoke to a customer like she did me I would fire her on the spot.

Now I know why , I barely shop at Walmart .My wife put on-line order in at a 8am and it is now 6pm and still no delivery. We called the store they said the driver never picked up the order. So then we just decided to drive to the store and pick up the order and the staff told us the the wrong pickup location, then I tried to get another employee attention when we where waiting and she flat out ingnor us. Then I called to stalk to a manager @7:05pm and she did absolutely nothing. I guess it's just Walmart being Walmart. Never Again!!!!

Don't even bother placing a delivery order here at this location. You will never get it! This was the third and last chance, no more. Gurnee Walmart is the worst. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. Even called cooperate and they even said no one is picking up. How a company so large fail so horribly in customer service. Give me that job and I will do a shake down and make customer service a priority. As of now, it sucks to high hell.

In the past few weeks I have waited over an hour for my orders to be dispensed to me at the pickup area at least 4 times now. The order says it's ready but I still end up waiting an additional hour beyond that for it to be loaded in my car. I have to call the pickup department, and cross my fingers that they answer the phone to get any attention brought to my order. After not reaching anyone on the phone, I then have to get out of my car and practically corner an employee to get the order dispensed. It's really unacceptable, if my order isn't going to be loaded within 15 minutes of me arriving, then I don't want to get told it's ready to pickup. Put more employees in the pickup area.

The pick up order parking spots are a joke. Takes 20-30 minutes. If ya say my order is ready, than why am I waiting 30 minutes?!? Never shopping here again. It shouldn't take this long for an order when it's ready... Update: 45 minutes later, let's see if we can hit an hour

Don't waste your time coming here or placing an online order no one answers the phone there was 1 person taking our orders and the pickup parking lot was full I am very disappointed I placed an order 12+ hours in advance and they didn't have it ready until after 1 hour .

Don't bother trying to order groceries from this store, and don't bother going there. Their delivery is questionable, at best . Yesterday's groceries never arrived, at all- and they're often late, with questionable "fresh" items, and ridiculous substitutions. I understand that Covid has put a strain, on everyone- But this is the crappiest Walmart, ever.

GREAT MANAGER - KIRK I placed an order online from California for my daughter that just arrived to Illinois. I had a few problems with items not being available. Store manager Kirk took the time to walk to the department section in which my items were and hand picked them for me! It's not everyday you come across such great customer service. I will definitely be ordering from this location often knowing Mr. Kirk is leading such great service. Thank you again!

Encountered the worse salesperson ever. I asked her a question a couple of times and she totally ignored me, pulled a ladder that she was using to stock items and I almost lost my balance and fell over. The Gurnee store is just plain bizarre. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Shop elsewhere!

Headed too quickly toward the same atrocious store as Fountain Square. There is NEVER any merchandise on the shelves. It reminded me to the national stores in the former Soviet Union. Getting a real cashier is almost a thing of the past. Lines are long, even for self-checkout. And you just saw me waited on, yet you need to check my receipt for a broom and kitty litter? Do I look like a thief, or is it just that you think old white ladies are more compliant? We are through, Walmart of Gurnee. And now you know why.

We visited this Walmart today at 3:30 pm 16 register lanes 2 open. Aweful and no urgency on anyones part to help eliminate the lines there were plenty of employees walking around talking to each other but no one willing to ring a register we won't be back

Awful costumer service, as usual! I'm not sure why I bothered to come back. Not only did the cashier not know how to activate other store giftcards, nor print off an activation receipt for the lady ahead of me, I had the worst time price-matching an item that was on sale at Walmart.com. When the manager finally came, she looked at my phone and didn't want to pricematch the item because the description phrasing on the website was in a different order as the box for the functions of the product. It was the same picture, same quart size, same functions, same original price... My receipt had 8 voided out items, one being another item scanned twice. Meanwhile, the line was backing up outside the lanes. Next time, I'll just go to Target, where they are more pleasant, pricematch without hassle or huffiness and know how to work a register without having to call the manager for every little thing during the busy season.
