I just walked out of Sherwin Williams where Michael could (or would not) match the color I was looking for. He explained to me that the obvious color difference for my trim paint was due to the poor quality of the paint he was trying to match. Instead of trying to match the color he told me there was no way for him to add white because there was no room left in the gallon! I have been buying pain for forty years, and at every other store they couldn't match or the gallon was too full, they took the time to take a small portion of the existing paint out of the gallon so they could add the tint. He wanted me to buy the paint as is, which I refused, because it was two tones off the color I wanted.
To make matters worse one of the two gallons I bought for the field paint was open in the box, it trashed a brand new pair of gym shoes and my driveway that I just had sealed.
Find another paint store, because they don't care about the customers!!

I went to the Sherwin Williams store in Gurnee today and was helped by the most amazing young man. I wish I asked for his name but I believe he was a manager. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable and was just a great representation of the store. I will, without hesitation, go back to this store for my painting needs.

Fast and efficient. We went in knowing the color we were after. They made sure that we had the right shade for our application and had us mixed and out of the door quick. What a great purchasing experience and the paint definitely lives up to the hype!! Could not be happier!!
