Menards in Gurnee is going down hill fast. I am not sure where the problem began. I have lived in the Gurnee area since 2016 and have shopped at Menards extensively for home repair and other items. First, the rebate is not a rebate. It is a in store credit only. Second, if you return something without a receipt they can scan it an acknowledge they sold it but will not give you a full refund or store credit but rather discount the item quite heavily. Third, DO NOT BUY CANDY/FOOD ITEMS at Menards (especially candy) because it is spoiled/bad (see most recent photos from 2 days ago). Fourth, I selected some lumber (2 pieces) and it was tatood with a smudged bar code and the cashier had to get out a book to find the price. After she found the price listed in the book, the guard woman standing at the door walked over and changed the price of the wood infuriating the cashier and me rightly so. Menards....what is going on?..

Good service great products. Everything i ever ordered at Menards was good quality
I try not to step foot in the HD store across the street where my 32k kitchen cabinets were very low quality. They sent a can of stain to fix them all.

Hi, letting everyone know this Menard's (Gurnee) has quietly stopped their curbside pick up, unless you can prove your disability or reason.
Unfortunately, the new policy started somewhere between March and April of this year. In April I had 3 orders to pick up.
I asked Jackie if I could use the yard pick up for my 3 orders pending as I do have difficulty walking, among other things. She told me if I was unable to walk, guests with handicap tags may use the yard pick up. She also mentioned, if THEY feel my order is small enough, I need to go into the store. Otherwise, I may go to the gate and give them my reason, and they will radio for approval.
Maybe it's just me, and the fact that I've been a good customer the past several years, and my order consisted of 7 shirts, 7 separate garden lights and 2 other things, that I felt a little insulted by having to give the gentleman at the gate my medical reason to pick up my order. I'm in my 60s, had my therapy dog with me, as I always do, so the gate attendant did let me in. I found it amusing that they brought out my order on a flatbed cart, yet it must have been considered small enough that I shouldn't have used curbside.
I'd give 5 stars for the gate attendants and help from the young men and women who have loaded my car over the years. I'd give 1 star for the way the new policy was implemented, If you don't need help, I'm sure inside is fine.
Home Depot does still have curbside pickup.

I ordered online for in-store pick up and discovered that one of the items was shorted. Getting through to the right person at the store was an epic ordeal. My patience ran out after 15 minutes of holding on the phone.
