Everyone kept telling me shop at Jewel. It’s cheaper than Mariano’s. Well, I decided to take their advice and I shopped at the Jewel on Hunt Club today. A lot of the stuff I needed was not priced. So I had to take a chance and find out at the register. I got one of their rotisserie chickens, but instead of getting the signature brand, I got some other brand that turned out to be $9.99! of course no price so I thought it was $6.99 Like the chickens that had a price on them.
I really didn’t buy that much and it was over $65! I couldn’t believe it. I had to look at my receipt twice.
I had hoped that the chicken would be excellent seeing how I paid so much! NO, is was overcooked and dry. It showed it had just been cooked so it’s not like it had been sitting. I was so disappointed in the shopping experience. From the embarrassing squeaky cart to the high-priced items, I’ll be shopping back at Mariano‘s. Not a big fan of Mariano’s as I’m sure I got sick on their steaks once but at least most of their items are marked so I know what I’m paying for them and I get coupons. I do spend less at Mariano’s. Goodbye Jewel, you won’t be seeing me anytime soon !

The butcher with the glasses rudely said to me “you can’t grab it from over there?” When I asked him for a few pounds of skirt steak. He then proceeded to tell me that he “won’t have enough for everyone else” as if it makes a difference who buys it… a sale is a sale.

This is the absolute WORST jewel in the area and I WILL NOT go there ever again. The produce is ALWAYS old and rotting. The shelves are never stocked. This is the 4th time I have brought frozen goods only to get them home and realize the item melted at some point and re-froze, specifically the ice cream and pizzas. I bought a frozen pizza from this Jewel and it gave me food poisoning because it thawed out at some point and re-froze. Whomever is managing this location needs to be FIRED.

I'd like to commend cashier Chari and her assistant Kirstyn. So friendly and courteous. I bought 3 bags of ice and Kirstyn said she would go over and get them for me. She carried over 30 lbs of ice from about 50 feet away. Thank you ladies!

This deli is an absolute disaster, waited 45 minutes and the employees are moving slow as molasses in June and helping people out of order of the ticketed numbers. Should there be a limit for how much customers order, Christ only 2 employees and they were helping the same people for like 30 minutes as these people were ordering for an entire small country.
