I don't know what happened over the past year, but I no longer could recommend this facility. I made the appointment online, for my child, and received a call that they required the insurance information prior to the visit or the visit would be canceled. Not how I remember it being a year ago, and the way this was communicated was extremely snarky and pushy from the beginning. I get them the correct information. I did give them our health insurance information because I thought that was the correct insurance, i was wrong on that front, but quickly got them the correct information, where they said that i was going to receive a call if they cannot find my son's coverage. Well, guess what? I never received a call. Seems to be a common issue based on the recent comments. We showed up, and they requested that i email a copy of the insurance card since I didn't have a physical copy. It says, clearly on the insurance card, that we are not required to present the card, only give the required information. Naturally, when attempting to send it, my phone had no service in that location. I asked once again if I could just show it and another lady, rudely and forcefully sat down and snarky yelled, "I'LL TRY ONE MORE TIME" while my son was sitting on my lap and we were right in front of her. Mind you this is a child that suffers from PTSD. I said that I would just take my business elsewhere at that point. And as we are getting up to exit, she rudely said to a coworker, "We don't need people like that in here anyways." Regardless of how you feel, you never talk about customers in front of a protentional customers or current customers in the store. Even my 9 year old son, doesn't understand how we were in the wrong. From my decades in customer service and the service industry, i would have been terminated if I treated a customer that way. I was luckily able to schedule an appointment at Accuvision when we got back in the car. They were able to easily obtain the coverage by the information that I gave them. I write this review sitting in their waiting area. Like i said, I don't know what happened over the last year, but this is not the same environment. Maybe these people don't like their jobs or just had a bad day, but I will not waste my time dealing with this place and I don't recommend anyone else does. Its a shame to have a rude place in such an amazing downtown community.

Dr. Carla is the GOAT! This woman is an absolute gem, and she speaks to you with the utmost care and compassion. (Backed by a slew of knowledge and expertise...) The support staff? Equally as impressive. They are on top of their game, and able to help you shave down costs, and explain everything thoroughly. Now, they do have some problems scheduling appointments from time to time, so you have to take that with a grain of salt. (The world is an imperfect place. Schedules change.) Always make your appointment in person or over the phone for best/most consistent results.

I had a challenging experience at Myeyedoctor at this Grayslake location that I hope will motivate others to persist in their healthcare journey. My appointment was scheduled for 4:10 PM, and I called the clinic at 4:05 PM to inform them I might be 10 minutes late due to traffic. The front office assured me they had a 10-minute grace period. Despite my best efforts, I arrived at 4:21 PM, just one minute past the grace period, but was not allowed in. Although I felt disheartened, this experience let me think about what type of service they would have provided me if I would have gone there.stay away from this location!!!

Was asked for my insurance information twice over the phone, which I gave, and told I would get a call if they could not find it. I arrive to my appointment and was asked for it a third time and told no information was ever put on file. They are terribly disorganized and not worth the time or money.

I literally think that person bashing Tasha has some serious Karen vibes with side of mental instability. Tasha is absolutely amazing! So helpful, sweet, warm and just wants to help you. As well as the rest of the staff. Tasha has been the most helpful, professional, kind person I’ve met inside a doctors office in a very long time. Don’t listen to that super Karen. This is a great place to get treatment. You WANT to work with Tasha. She’s a genuinely good person and cares about her work. If I could give a million stars to this establishment plus the help that has been given to me specifically by Tasha I absolutely would. Thank you guys. Thank you specifically to Tasha. And thank you to the rest of the staff. I can see now!! ?

Called to order contacts, spoke to manager Tasha just by chance. Off the bat she cut me off when she pulled up my account since my year is up in 3 weeks. Plus the brand of contacts is “discontinued” & before I could ask for a different brand she cut me off and assumed I over use my current contacts. Which is not the case. I purchased 6mo. Supply order a year ago and have been back for a box at a time when I could afford which informed her I came back after 6mo and purchased box at a time that she could look up my history. She assumed I overused because I didn’t purchase year supply at the time of my eye contact exam. I explain to her not everyone has privilege of buying a yr in advance and she goes off on me and hangs up. I then call back and she answers again I say “hi this is the lady you just hung up on. Is there anyone else I can speak too a manager? Another employee etc” she proudly responds “Me” she had such a “I’m the manager and what are you going to do about it” snarky attitude. I’m sure these calls are recorded or something where someone can listen in and just pick up her bad vibe.
Her whole attitude as a manager was uncalled for and unprofessional. I did not raise my voice I did not use foul language. She must be having a bad day. However as a manager you should be able to still provide kind customer service when you’re having a good day, bad day, ok day etc. never in my life have I experienced such mistreatment from a manager. I did inform her I will just call corporate since she wasn’t willing to get along with me which then she hung up again. Her name is Tasha. I wish I had the option to give no stars. This lady was so rude and because of her a loyal customer is long gone! What an unfortunate experience “/

I am so glad that we came here on a recommendation from a friend! My daughter was having a hard time finding glasses and while she was in her exam, Latasha remembered the shape and style my daughter wanted and had a few pairs ready for when the exam was finished. Latasha also helped me choose glasses providing a very honest opinion and helpful advice for the proper shape for my face. All prices and options were clearly explained. They gave us the best possible deal and were very caring about my budget! The doctor was honest, friendly, helpful and listened to my concerns. All the staff was really outgoing and kind. It was a very light and friendly atmosphere. Glad to make this our new eyeglass place!

First time coming here since my insurance changed on me again the doctor made me feel comfortable very personable and the staff were efficient and polite. Did not feel pressured to buy glasses at all since most are commission based. If you are only coming here for an eye exam only and buying glasses online your PD will be on your prescription!

From the doctor to the staff including Erika and Tasha I had an amazing experience. They made me feel comfortable and had answers to all of my many questions. I feel confident recommending this place to anyone because of the atmosphere alone.

I showed up early for an appointment (10:55) thinking my appointment was at 11am. I was told my appointment was at 11:20, no biggie, a 25 minutes wait was okay with me. However at 11:40am I walked out I because I was told they were running late and it’d be another 15 minutes before I would be taken back. So extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. Tried to reschedule to give them another chance but they had appointments for a week out and my benefits expire in 4 days. They lost a customer!

I wish I could give no stars!This place is sick!My daughter had an appointment we were behind a train then electric work being done on the same road. I called in to tell the I was going to be three minutes late. The one girl says that's fine but if the next appointment comes in we will take them then you.. Ok.. That is fair.. They not even a minute goes by and they called me to see if I was still comming in(they don't talk to each other) I said yes she said ok. I called back because gps said I was there I did not see the place and then there girl was like now you have to wait till 1020 to be seen. Um no that is not what the one girl just said. She said it was ok. Then they put the manager on the line (very rude person nor professional) basically says your late oh well.. I hope the lion's club knows what kind of people they are in network with.. Because this place is ridiculous!!Because of something I can't control. They should have a little more sympathy for people! Everyone in that office are not professional and are @s@ho!es????

Went in for a retreatment exam for lasik, complete exam was not done as needed, even with having the form starting what needed to be done. Just put me back into a pair of glasses and said they wouldn't redo the lasik.When I went to pick up the glasses I immediately became dizzy and nauseous as soon as I put the glasses on. They made my vision worse and started to trigger a migraine, which I suffer from. The office staff became very rude and argumentitive saying that I only had them on for a couple seconds and that it wouldn't do that and that I HAD to take the glasses for a week to wear them. Again I told them I can not wear them without becoming dizzy and nauseous. It got to the point that I had to demand they return the glasses and refund my HSA. Now need a new eye doctor and finally get the CORRECT exam done.
