THE COSTCO OF PLANTS!This place is SPECTACULAR!!!!I love coming here every year for my vegetables and flowers! HUGE variety!! This place is like two/three football fields put together! I’m talking ROWS & ROWS & ROWS on flowers, vegetables, herbals, trees, bushes, flower pots, decor, etc!!! You will EASILY spend an hour or two here! They have a concession stand serving finger foods and drinks & a restroom. Highly recommend!

My wife and I just love this place. Plan on spending at least a few hours here if you love plants. they also stock soil and plant amendments to adjust soil PH levels and everything a gardener needs. My last excursion here I left with 10 bags of Milorganite to amend my lawn. I saved so much on the price, it was well worth the drive from chicago. Get here early to avoid the massive crowds, especially around Mother's day, the official start of outdoor gardening time in this part of the midwest. Closed on Sunday's.

Love this place. They have a very large selection of Christmas decorations and live holiday arrangements. A bit pricey at times but so many beautiful things.

Today is November first, 2023. I visited the garden center in hopes of finding some plants for my dog’s grave thqt just passed away three days ago. I wrote down a bunch that I had researched on the Internet. Fingers crossed I would find something here. Because of the season not much was available. but I did run into Ashleigh. She was an immense help and talked to me for probably 20 to 25 minutes about possibilities for early spring blooms in the way of bulbs and other flowers that I could do that would look beautiful on my babies grave. She was so knowledgeable! So willing to help! And a really nice person! Woldhuis is very lucky to have an employee like her. I can’t say enough great things about Ashleigh. If you have any questions about any plants bulbs, flowering anything, you ask for her.

Great time...travel an hour but it's worth it. Reasonable and sometimes down right cheap in prices of plants and vegetables. Staff was wonderful with their help. Recommend you to everyone.

Place is beautiful. Bought a large array of perennials and annuals. The Sun plants are doing pretty good, but all my shade plants are not very good. Some have died completely and some just look horrible. I thought I had found my new nursery, but I get better quality at Home Depot. ☹️

I have been going to Woldhuis Farms for many, many, years. I remember when the parking lot was gravel and held about fifteen cars. I'm guessing that that was around 1993.Flats cost $7.50 back then. The prices are as excellent today as they were then. A small, five dollar increase over thirty years in quite remarkable. The nursery stock is always vigorous and ready to go.The woldhuis family has created a gardening empire that everyone should see. The month of May is the best time to see the greenhouses bustling to the brim in waves of color. This place is absolutely worth visiting.

If you are looking for reasonable priced flowers, this is the greenhouse to go! Be prepared to walk and for crowds. Friendly and helpful staff. I can not wait to go back.

2023. This years update. Bought tomatos at Lowe's this year, and they're growing nicey. The hanging plants are a different story. Seems they planted differently and not enough drainage. Ones dying rapidly. Pictures below. Im slowly starting to buy my plants at other greenhouses because your quality has dropped and prices increase. Check your employees' work. It's sad the price you pay for poor quality. These were mothers day gifts.2022. We have bought every year from Woldhuis for 8 years. This year price increased... dramatically. We were fine with and still purchased about 600 dollars. Some vegetable peppers, tomatoes, etc, have been less than desirable. We bought a couple of plants from Lowes. Completely better growth etc same dirt, watering sun etc. The baskets and planters we bought were put together with less quality and much smaller with less foliage. Some of the baskets and planters some just died. They look empty and sad. We used to love you guys. Always a great experience. But higher prices should include less product or service.... should it?

This greenhouse is jaw dropping. The first time we visited, we could not believe how big it is. Acres of healthy plants so plan to spend the entire day. We always find the plants on our list and then some. It is over an hour away from us but we make multiple trips a year because we love this place so much. Here's our most recent find, a 25 gallon River Birch we fell in love with when we saw it.

They literally have everything. The most affordable greenhouse in the area. It's definitely worth the drive. 4 inch pots are $2.49. There's no better value in all of Chicagoland. I can't believe I haven't been before today. I'm definitely going to be a regular customer.
