“An incredibly positive first-time experience. Nearly every time I shop for any article of clothing, I dread it, it's unpleasant, and I'm mildly depressed for a day afterward. Not this time. Running shoes aren't cheap, and I EXPECTED to leave feeling vaguely cheated and unsure whether I made the right choice! BUT - with the friendly, knowledgeable, and personal service provided by Michael, I left feeling like I'd definitely gotten the exact right shoes for me, and like the price I paid was worth it. (Side note: I was curious and checked, and the price I paid for my shoes at Big River was identical to the price on Amazon, so this is a definite no-brainer.) If you want to start running and are intimidated by getting the correct shoes, this is the place to go. “Honestly, I usually just shop online because I'm a curvy girl and never find anything in store or feel "good" when I go to the store. Personal insecurity, I suppose. With a recent online order, there was a security sensor left on an item I purchased, so I had to go to the store to have it removed. I opted for this location, versus the West County or Frontenac location, due to proximity to my house. The girls were so sweet and quickly assisted me and did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. I will definitely be back to this location to shop in the future!”
“Just simply PHENOMENAL!!!! Brian and his team went WAY above and beyond to ensure my kiddos had an above outstanding and exciting playing experience. After we moved cities my kiddos were devastated to leave their play-set behind. Brian and his team walked me patiently through the whole process and pulled off the unimaginable - a play-set set-up that made my kids forget what they left behind and excited about what they now have. The whole team is what “right looks like” when it comes to the customer experience. When we moved from the St. Louis Metro-East to an hour East, Brian didn’t hesitate to make the trip to set us up. I am very grateful that he did this. I look forward to working with him and his team in the near future to continue to build our backyard a play-time oasis. Next up…one of their trampolines. “I called The St. Louis Cardinals store trying to find a special book I’d seen before in the Cardinals newsletter but hadn’t seen for a while. I called the shop & had the good fortune off having Terrell’s (sp) answer. This young man knew exactly the book I couldn’t find & was so helpful in describing it & making suggestions of how I could buy it. In years of going into this store Terrells’ attitude of helpfulness, knowledge without being pushy, exemplifies how store workers are there. The prices are reasonable & the items are always excellent & solid -just like our Cardinals. Love this store.”
“The buying experience was very enjoyable. I wanted a particular table, but I liked the wider rails of another table, so they said " we can make you that table with the wider rails!". So, perfect! I got the speedcloth, and the 8 foot oversized. I love it! It plays so nice! They bought my 7 foot Brunswick, moved it, and installed the new one. Prefect installation, they guys were very nice.... a wonderful experience, and a good value. If you buy a table in St. louis, you're cheating yourself if you don't go to A E Schmidt.”
“Ordered an authentic 3rd alternate Jordan Kyrou jersey and had it hand stitched. It is absolutely phenomenal! Delivered within a few weeks time was pretty good as well, being I made a custom order. Can't wait for Blues/Blackhawks April 10th to wear it to the game!”
