I had to make a last minute appointment due to my dog making a turn for the worst over night. She stopped eating, drinking water and could no longer walk. Glendale animal hospital got me in that morning. My dog Ginger was suffering and they helped me give her peace. She was my best friend for 10 years and I had no idea of what an end of life visit would look like but they made it amazing. Staff were all so kind, sensitive and understanding. They discussed steps, options and what to expect. M I am grateful for the hospital, their staff and all the care my dog received prior. Thank you for everything. ❤️

2 days ago we brought our dog in because she was very sick. We saw Dr. Hartigan. I've been going here for years but let me tell you this was the best experience for the saddest situation I've ever had. We had to put down our "old lady" and Dr. Hartigan was absolutely amazing. Made us feel like family and told us we were making the right choice! She treated our pup with such respect even after she had passed. Thank you Dr. Hartigan for making such a heartbreaking. unexpected situation alittle bit easier!

I have had my own dogs for over 20 years and I've been to a dozen different animal hospitals. I have never been as impressed as I was when I visited Glendale Animal Hospital. First, the building is adorable, inside is clean and orderly and had and a separate entrance for cats. There was plently of waiting area and it was calm and quiet which is important to me to keep my dogs from being too overstimulated. The front desk staff were kind, welcoming and efficient.
The vet tech, Ray, and the Dr. Odom were both very knowledgable, kind and caring. They spent more than an hour examining my dog, addressing each and every issue completely, and making sure she had the correct treatment plan.
This office is about 45 minutes away from my home but I will continue to come here for the quality of care we received. I will be highly recommending Glendale Animal Hospital to family and friends.
And to add to all of that, I couldn't believe that they charged me probably half of the cost I would have paid for a 10 minute, much less thorough, appointment at some other animal hospitals.

Truly the best animal hospital I have been to. I have two dogs. One with a complicated case that has to be monitored regularly. I can’t say I have ever had a bad experience after being a customer for about 5 years. They are consistent, professional, knowledgeable, caring, clean and efficient. I typically see Dr. Odom who practically saved my dog at the beginning of establishing care. However, Dr. Roszypal and the other doctors are all excellent. Big shout out to Lexie at the front desk. She is extremely helpful and pleasant.
They never up charge me and are always transparent about pricing and treatment. They always work with me on a particular visit with my budget. We work together to find an appropriate treatment plan based on price and urgency. I am very surprised at some of the negative reviews. You won’t find a better animal hospital! Thanks GAD!

If I could give a 0 I would. This place is so disrespectful. I have brought 3 dogs here and to be treated the way I was is wrong. Not that they care. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

This animal hospital is a bit on the pricey side. However, they have gone above and beyond for my 3 pets every time. They never try to upcharge me. They always explain what vaccines fit my pets' lifestyle and which ones do not. I had a foster dog that was terrified of the vet, and they showed him so much love his first vet vist that he wasn't nearly as scared the second visit. I also recently had quite a health scare with my cat, and they did everything in their power to make her comfortable and ease my mind. Every staff member I have met are true animal lovers and amazing at their jobs.

This place doesn't take appropriate precautions & will punish you when you're a responsible pet owner. If you're a cat owner specifically, avoid.
I have two cats & we've had significant issues with this office with both of them. 1st time around I had to take one in for emergency surgery for a tail injury. I'm giving two stars because they absolutely did take good care of him & resolved the issue that could have been devastating for my cat's tail. However, we were told "if there are any issues, call & we can see him again right away." There was an issue. We called to bring him back after stitches came out & were told this was not possible & "not their policy." They told us we would be charged an emergency fee because THEY were understaffed, as if this was our problem. When my husband called to address concerns he was told (direct quote) by one of the techs: "if you don't like our policy & have such better ideas, maybe you should apply for a job here so you can change them." This was addressed, we got an apology & we decided to give a 2nd chance. People have bad days & mess up, we're all human. We moved on.
Next up with our other cat. I took both in several weeks ago for their annual checkups & rabies shots. When I called to schedule I first asked the person on the phone when they were due officially to not miss their due date, & she insisted the date she offered would be fine. Turns out, it was past the date.
Once there, I get in the room & the tech immediately starts making comments about how difficult my cats are, & how much they "don't like being there." She made it clear she understands how they get anxious & act out. It felt rude & passive aggressive, but I let it go. Dr. Odom takes one back & then comes in & tells me he snapped at the tech when she was cleaning his bottom off ( full extent of what she said). The tech comes back & I apologize- she minimizes the situation- saying something along the lines of "how it happens with cats." Everything ends & I go out into the lobby. Dr. Odom then has the audacity to come out (to the lobby) minutes after I had been excused from the room to pay the bill & leave- to tell me that my cat now has to be under "rabies observation" because he "bit the tech & his shot is out of date." I'm confused because I had been under the impression (asking when I scheduled the appointment) that they were now up-to-date. No one said anything to me about this (including Dr. Odom) until she came out long after the appointment ended to inform me of this. NOW telling me he needed to come back in 5 & 10 days. She leaves, I'm wildly confused but also trying to figure out how to make this work because we were leaving for a trip in 2 days. Dr. Odom then comes out a SECOND time (again- in the lobby-in front clients & staff) to tell me that my cat will now be reported to animal control for biting. Nothing more, nothing less. She doesn't explain what this means or what to expect, & instead just leaves the lobby. Deplorable professionalism. I left angry, confused, & absolutely devastated thinking my pet was going to be taken from me or quarantined by animal control. A professional would have discussed this issue thoroughly in the privacy of the exam space prior to us heading to the lobby. After I left it was another vet's office I called that explained to me what this meant & what to expect.
I am a reasonable person, I understand & respect that protocol needs to be followed. However, when this place messed up the dates of their vaccines, joke right away about how "bad" my cats are -& then don't protect themselves from bites (why didn't they cover their hands after saying how "bad" they were?) - & then report ME to animal control (& telling me this in th

Recently moved to the area and decided to go with Glendale Animal because of their good reviews. Our first visit with my adult dog went well. First visit with our adult dog was okay. Ray the tech was super great! Then things went south when we got our puppy and came in for two visits for boosters. Waiting over 30 minutes, getting charged for things that were never explained during the time of visit, got in touch with the manager, fine it was cleared up. Had an emergency with my adult dog yesterday to which I scheduled an appointment, let front desk know I may be a few minutes late due to construction and rushing home from work as I also work at the hospital- front desk lady told me don’t bother coming if I’m late I’ll have to reschedule with a really bad attitude. Decided to call back and just get my dogs records and go elsewhere. I’d suggest more professional front desk staff.

I just took my 15 year old Shaded Silver Persian kitty to be checked at the Glendale Animal hospital. Dr. Hartigan and Andrea were fantastic. They were kind, thorough and very easy to talk to. The were responsive, professional and compassionate in their work. Truly excellent people for pet care! I highly recommend them!

*Glendale Heights Animal Hospital tried to suppress my review by having it removed from Google, so I am reposting it. They also blocked me on Facebook to have the review removed—extreme measures to silence their clients.*
I recently had an appointment at Glendale Animal Hospital that left me thoroughly disappointed with their customer service and professionalism. From the moment we arrived, it was clear our concerns weren't valued.
We had an 11:00 a.m. appointment and called ahead to inform them we’d be arriving at 11:06. However, heavy congestion on North Avenue caused by a road closure delayed us further. We arrived at 11:12 a.m. My sister quickly took our dog inside to check in while I parked. As I did, Ashley from the clinic called and canceled our appointment, citing a policy for lateness before we could explain.
Shocked, I joined my sister inside. Ashley insisted there was nothing the clinic could do, even while holding back a smile. We suggested she step outside to see the road closure for herself, but she declined. Instead, she offered to reschedule and suggested a preventative to try at home—despite our dog’s past severe reactions at this clinic.
We were there to review ingredients in future preventatives to ensure our dog's safety, making it even more disheartening that our concerns were ignored. The situation escalated when Ashley brought out Graziella, who approached us aggressively, claiming it was just her "Italian" way of communicating. Her behavior was unprofessional and offensive, and she even threatened to call the police to remove us.
As longtime clients with nine dogs treated here, we expected better. This experience was unlike any prior visit, leading me to discontinue their services. If you plan to switch clinics, I recommend reviewing your pet's records, as we found the clinic’s notes to be one-sided and lacking crucial details.
A follow-up call from Melanie only added to our frustration, as she failed to grasp why we were taking the situation personally.
In conclusion, the lack of respect and assistance during our visit shattered our loyalty and trust. I can no longer recommend this clinic and urge others to seek alternatives where your concerns and your pet's well-being will be valued.

Years ago all 3 of my cats got sick at the same time. I was beside myself and I had originally taken them to my regular vet, College Station Cat clinic. I'm a senior citizen and I had very little money. He prescribed an antibiotic but a week later she was no better. I called him back and he said the antibiotics were supposed to be good for 10 days and he wouldn't prescribe anything more . I had called again trying to get an emergency apt and they refused to see me and my cat He kept trying to pressure me into having dental work done for over $500. I decided to get a second opinion. Glendale Animal Hospital saw me right away, they had a charity fund available and wrote off part of the vet bill. They were very kind, compassionate, and understanding. They really helped me when I was desperate where my Vet of many years acted like he couldn't be bothered.

I’ve gone to them with a previous pet. When they called 10 minutes prior to my appointment to cancel, that was very disappointing since I had to wait a week for the appointment. they’re super nice but that rubbed me the wrong way. Will still reschedule and go to them since they’re the most nice ones in the area.

Secretaries were nice. Visit was expensive. But they do good work and are good hearted individuals who genuinely care about your pets.

They always have taken great care of my pets, though they are a little expensive (not sure if more so than any other local animal hospital). Very nice, clean, modern facility.

They don’t care about the animals or pets you bring in, only want to upcharge and sell you stuff you don’t need! Pretty pathetic, the lady in charge was a little rude too but more concerned with their practices and approach to keeping animals happy and healthy. You’re just another number here…
