This covers every aspect from the sociopolitical climate to the economic pressures that led to the Holocaust, as well as the providing a very detailed description of the events before and after the Holocaust as well. These are detailed using a variety of methods such as stories, videos, artifacts, and replicas that are thoughtfully assembled.Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about the Holocaust in an excellently maintained museum.”

“I never knew this place existed until the summer when there was an event being held here.It is quite a tranquil retreat, and secret place hidden in the midst of all the busyness around it from the suburbs and the traffic It was great to find parking and walk right into the building and to our event space as well. The grounds are impeccable. The restaurants in the food are delicious, and the catering for our event was on point. The floral arrangements throughout. The property were very cute and fitting for the summer. I am not a member here however, I can see why there are members with the grounds and the offerings for boating, fishing, tennis, etc. If I have an opportunity to host an event, I would definitely consider this place for sure for personal as well as even professional events. To note the staff who were the waiters and the bartender, and the manager, for the event, or very attentive, and very good.”

“Zhivago is one of our favorite places for celebrating special events.Most recent celebration was of our wedding. Zhivago did an exceptional job preparing and organizing everything. The musicians, Yurii and Bogdan brought the true spirit of Ukraine to the evening. Food was delicious. The servers - polite and professional. The owner of the restaurant, Oleg, went out of his way to answer all our questions and concerns and to make sure that we will be happy. All of our guests had a great time. We are glad that we picked Zhivago for our special day.”

“I am the owner of Moving N Grooving DJs and I had the absolute pleasure of DJing a wedding in this place last night. This was my first time here and my first time meeting Michael and his staff. All I can say is WOW!!!!!This place is massive and amazing! The thing that stood out to me the most was how welcoming and kind Michael and ALL of his staff were. I do about 70 + weddings a year and I'm at a lot of different venues and believe it or not but a good number of venues don't treat vendors well! Michael and his staff were so kind and welcoming to me and all other vendors. You can just tell there is something different going on here and it's refreshing to see that there are still venues that don't treat vendors like 2nd hand help.If your thinking about booking this place the above is important because it speaks to the character of people behind your event! “An unassuming wedding venue from the street but once you walk in you realize this is a prime event space thoughtfully renovated with modern amenities. The event room has 2 walls of windows providing fantastic views and the outdoor covered patio is something to behold. There are a ton of spots to take your intimate wedding photos at including water, bridges, weeping willows and manicured gardens. I highly recommend checking this place out for your wedding or important event reception.”

“They have activities and events for the family throughout the year. We went to the flannel and flapjacks and had a great time. For a very reasonable fee, we were served all you can eat breakfast, there was live music and a Santa, arts and crafts, and even a photo station to capture the experience. Even mimosas were unlimited. Nice place to mingle socially and enjoy family time.”

Good WiFi in the auditoriums and the ergonomic chairs for the attendees are so much better than typical chairs at hotels for a session that lasts hours.Nice modern, professional space with helpful AV staff and HD livestreaming options for attendees an presenters.”

“I am such a fan of the Cook County Forest Preserves . And one reason I love them is that there's always something new to find and explore! Every time I visit I fall in love again.Today I visited the Volunteer Resource Center (VRC) near Edgebrook Woods. They held a program for Black History Month; I really want to support this type of cultural programming within the FPCC system, and it's an added bonus that it sounded interesting.The VRC is right near the Edgebrook Golf Course--the same entrance is for both. But unless you've been to an event here or go to the golf course, you're unlikely to known this was here. It's a really great event space which the FPCC rents out for various events. There's a different rate for county residents versus non-residents, and the cost differs for Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday dates. However, the rates seem really reasonable to me. There's a main room which is especially lovely; there's a large fireplace, high ceilings, and a lot of space--this room can hold 100 people. The classroom is much smaller and can accommodate up to 40. Both those spaces can be rented independently of one another, and I think you can rent portions of the golf course as well? All the information is on the webpage. The main room has a kitchen space as well so you can work with a caterer for your event. I wish I had an event for which I could use this space; I'll bet it's especially beautiful in the spring and summer. There are picnic tables just outside the indoor facility, and parking is plentiful as well.”

“A park and a beach is along the lake. Gillson Park is the best thing about Wilmette, and beats any of those overcrowded ones farther south. If you want to actually be able to walk on a beach and not feel crowded, then head up a ways. Be careful about where you park because you can find places for free. There's also plenty of green space for athletic fields. Gillson is a big park, and that makes it feel not as crowded. It has several different parts. There's the actual park with the grass and trees. It's often very quiet here. Where's all the people? At the beach. This beach is still less crowded than any of the Chicago beaches full of both locals and tourists. It has a nice little play area. The sand is pretty clear of debris for the most part. Also at this park is a big a** marina. There's lots of boats, and there's also a club you can join if you can pay up. However you spend time here, just be careful about parking or it may be costly. It has pay lots close to the beach but you can find free parking on the residential streets. They have certain places where you can't park though, so pay attention to signs and whatever.”

They were there with us every step of the way, answering all questions and easing our worries and mind as the day approached!They consistently checked in and asked if we needed any changes, or had any specific needs that needed to be met as the day was nearing. Whenever we had questions they were able to answer them and guide us to ensure our question was answered fully.Last Saturday we had our MOST special day and it was everything we wanted and more!
