My car's water pump blew up about a block from this place. I pulled over, engine smoking. A Glen Ellyn Fire Marshall saw me and came over to help. Guess he responds to smoke! ? He pointed across the street to this place and told me they were 'good guys' THEY WERE. Ted and Andrew fixed my car in 1 day, and I was very happy--they saved me from having to get towed! I TOTALLY recommend them as honest and fair.

This place does an amazing job with our vehicles. we always take our cars there. He is very honest and does not add to my bill. It's hard to find an honest mechanic. However, this is the best place for the value for your vehicle and for peace of mind.

Awesome place to get a quality oil change. Mr. Augustyn has been for my car since i bought it in 2020. the time he takes with my car and shows alot of care really makes me Value his buisness. Please book an appointment with this man. hes is very reasonable and good hearted. A True Chicago Man.

Ted & the team have gone above and beyond for me time and time again. Once I called in a panic after finding a nail in my tire- and even in the middle of a busy day, they told me to come right in and patched it up.

I’ve been meaning to write this review since the past summer. I normally do whatever work I can myself especially on my vehicles. However I encountered a slight snag with one of mine and searched around for a honest and quality independent shop near me. After scouring for hours, I came across this establishment. Called them and scheduled a day to swing by.
When I went in I was greeted by Ted Sr. Super nice guy and referred me to his son who is the owner operator, Ted Jr. they gave me an estimate on time, turnaround and cost. True to their word, they did exactly that and also listed what they felt could be optional or necessary down the road.
All in all, happy with them and would be open to go back to them in the future should I need their services again.

Been using Village Grage & Tie since 2002. Ted is the most HONEST business owner we have ever worked with for maintaining our vehicles! We keep our cars usually until they hit 200,000+ miles because Ted does such an amazing job of keeping them running! His service is quick and his prices are fair.

My son just got his driver's license and we needed a turn singal bulb replaced before I let him take the care. We showed up and asked if they could help us put. It's a pain to do the front bulb on a Ford Escape. They fit us in and in about 15 minutes we were in and out. All around great guys, great local small business, fantastic service. My son said he will bring his own car here if he has to. Highly recommend, and very pleased.
