We were lied to when we went there. They said our tax consultant was almost done and would be with us in a few minutes. An hour later when we asked about it he said i need to be truthful and said they took other people even though we had an appointment. No one came out to tell us we would be right with you. We left then because you cant trust them with your personal information if they lie right to your face and no courtesy! Disappointed for a town like glen ellyn to have such a mismanaged office.

I made an appointment on line for 11 AM Friday, Nov. 17. I got there a few minutes early and waited untill 11:15 with no one showing up. I work 2 jobs and can only get there at certain times. Today, Saturday, that office is open at 10AM. I work 9 to 530. I left a note in the mailbox slot with the times I can come in. I really need to see someone. I received an email the day before as a reminder for the appointment. And the hours and days that are appointment only are on the door.

I have been with H&R Block for many years but have never had such a great experience. Anytime you can look beyond having to pay money, you can be sure the experience was great. My Tax Expert, Toni, was absolutely phenomenal! I will definitely be seeing her again. I also did the virtual option and it went quickly and smoothly. Overall a wonderful experience!

Susan was amazingly helpful!!! Although she was not my Tax Rep this year. I came in last minute and she helped me with getting copies of my tax return. And she also stayed until I received everything that I needed! Thank you again Susan from the bottom of my Heart!

I decided to give H&R Block a shot after years of using TurboTax. Not that I have anything against TurboTax, I just heard H&R Block could get you a better refund. I dropped off my documents and was told they would reach out to me if they needed me for anything. 10 days went by. Throughout that time, I periodically checked up on my online account that they told me to start and it said they were still working on my taxes. I finally called to ask what was going on because it was the day before taxes were due and they said my DL was a few weeks expired and they couldn't do my taxes without it. So, I sent them my state ID and they got to it.A phone call from them would have been great but I get my own faults here, the expired DL is on me and so is waiting 10 days before taxes were due. But when I finally got to speak to Stanley, he was by far the rudest, grouchiest representative I have ever dealt with. The snide undertones about my income and investments were just asinine. Between state and federal he estimated I owed over 5 grand. Then I told him most of my income was state tax exempt and he made a snide comment about how I should have told him that earlier as if he's not a tax expert or something. So the amount owed went down to $2600-ish. It was concerning to watch him and his colleagues spend 5-10 minutes trying to figure out how to enter data on his computer. Stanley seemed to get a little upset when I demanded to take my paperwork back home to review it myself and implied he did it right and it wouldn't get any better than that. So, I left to file on my own. Stanley made one last asinine remark about paying for their services before I left.I just finished with TurboTax. It took me an hour and a half to get through and I owed a couple hundred bucks total and paid less for their services than H&R would have charged me. Turns out Stanley just completely forgot about the 1098 for my mortgage and my property taxes. Not only is he rude but he clearly doesn't know what he's doing either. Absolute trash location and service.

Our past two years with Block have not been very pleasurable or instructive. We miss our old H&R Block person who retired and no one seems to be able to fill her shoes, sorry.

Used h&r block for a few years. They seem to be pretty good. They are a little pricey. If you go to a cpa firm it would probably be cheaper. But all in all they seem to be pretty good
