I took my rough collie there, and they did an amazing job. Collies can be tough to groom properly, and they did all the right things. He usually does not like being groomed, (we even have to muzzle him when we brush him) and they didn't even need the muzzle the whole time. Highly recommend!

Barb and Rick are the best! I trust them with my dogs 100%. One of my dogs has really bad separation anxiety but he comes back home perfectly fine because he’s 1 on 1 with Barb the whole time instead of waiting in a crate or with 100s of other dogs like most shops… oh and they have the best self-service dog wash in the area?? highly recommend

We love this place! Staff is always friendly and very helpful. I also really like the chamois that they have for you to use and their plumb silky shampoo is the best!

My boyfriend and I went today with our two dogs to do the self wash. They were so friendly!! they have an option of shampoos you can choose from and even a gentle wash you can use for their face. 10/10 this place is going to be our go to bath place from now on.

After 9 years of going to Shear Pooch, I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND them at all. They state the last self service dog wash is 1 hour before close. I arrived at 2:30 pm on a Saturday, 1.5 hours before close, and was told they were "closed" for self serve. If Shear Pooch doesn't want to be in the business of self serve dog washing, then stop! My money will solely be going to Pet Supplies Plus in Glen Ellyn. They truly know how to provide good customer service!

Brought my 100 lb Golden mix in for a bath and a nail trim. He was scared and would not walk on the tile floor. The employees laid down a path with the rubber mats. They calmed him while doing his nails. They brushed out a couple knots in his fur. Then they laid down the rubber mats to the bath tub. We laughed through the entire process. The employees went above and beyond the call of duty. I give them 10 stars. Brody feels great now that he's all stealhy. Thank you for making my dog feel so comfortable!

Every time we take our dog, Zeus, here, he is always eager to be groomed and looked over because Barb is the best at what she does. She does everything in a timely fashion, takes great care of our little guy and always asks how short we want his hair and etc. Zeus adores her and he feels comfortable being with her.Keep up the great work! :)

Highly recommend. Clean place, 2 hour-ish grooming(great time management) Friendly. Great job on my golden doodle. Very happy every time! PreBook in advance to stay on a grooming schedule because they are good at what they do and are becoming busier :)

Barb, Rick and Nivek were amazing for our 13 week old puppy Wrigs first experience at a groomer! They made him and us feel so comfortable! Seeing that they were so good with him made us feel so much better leaving him there to get bathed/groomed! Wrigs loved them all and will enjoy going back when the times comes, and that makes us beyond relieved and happy! He looked so cute in his valentine bandana, and loved the healthy treat reward he got for being a good pupper! When we got him in the car, he was so tuckered out, he slept the whole way home! Thank you! ??????

If anyone is looking for an amazing groomer just thought I would share. A bit overly joyed by our experience today. Months ago I had wish someone would have shared the same and saved us some time. But Jack is 10 months old and developed a fear of getting his nails cut after the vet used a bit of force. We search around asking for recommendations in the area and found ourselves at the Shear Pooch Llc in Glen Ellyn. They radiate a passion for their profession and a love of animals which clearly dogs can sense. Such a night and day difference in jack’s behavior compared to the many places we tried before who failed. Barb is patient and gentle, going the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. She got him bathed, blown dry, and even got his nails cut. The best part, was when we picked him up, he was happy as could be and didn’t even want to leave, laying on the floor as if he was at home. I was astonished! For others who have dogs that can be difficult when getting their nails cut, definitely give this place a try.
