Lucia was a sweet and amazing person, but I was really upset with the result. I showed a picture of a light brown balayage and that’s not what I left with. She left the bleach in my hair for way too long and now my hair is very brittle and I lost my curl pattern. The “balayage” wasn’t even brown, it was white/gray highlights with green undertones. Not only that but there was still some pieces with a brassy orange color. She was very nice but I am very unsatisfied and upset with what I got. I gave it one star because you can’t give zero.

My first and only visit there was in March of 2024. It was welcoming and I really enjoyed my hair cut and dye with Jazmyn. I recently learned that she left and now I feel compelled to talk about the environment there as I was appalled. The stylist all sit around and chit chat which was fine… but as a Native/Latina woman I could not believe how flat out racist they were being… like Jazmyn and I are both obviously brown and these Caucasian hairstylists were doing this in front of us and other customers. They were talking about eating and one of them said, “I never get Chinese food. You never know what those people put in there and I don’t want to eat dog.”
EXCUSE ME? I was conflicted about making the review because I wanted to see Jazmyn again and the way they talked like that so casually made me believe that that is tolerated there by whomever runs the place. Please, try to do better.
Update: not surprised by the owners response. That should tell you all you need to know.

I am SO glad that I found Cheveux Salon ! the ease of booking appointments, the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable environment all make for 5 stars! I have sensitive skin, so I was thrilled to have Kathy (owner and stylist) recommend and use All Nutrient organic hair color ! It is gentle and smells amazing and made all the difference for me ! Above all, Kathy gave me an amazing haircut that suited my face shape and revived my natural wave/curl. Highly recommend !!!

I was so happy when I found an amazing stylist Michelle years ago and followed her to Cheveux salon and day spa. Michelle has always been amazing! Her work, her personality, just everything about her.
Over the last decade I’ve gone to her along with my children.
If it wasn’t for her I would NEVER have gone there. It’s truly not a welcoming environment. The owner Kathy herself was not very welcoming and the salon is not really updated and does not give the true “day spa” feel, very misleading. She didn’t appear to treat her staff very well from what I had seen. Truly very sad.
I’m so happy Michelle along with Jazmyn and Danielle have left and are truly happier for it.
Just beware if you are looking for a true relaxing day spa Cheveux is not the place for you.

When I moved back to the area after several decades in CA, I was trying various salons and stylist all with a major fail! A neighbor suggested I go to Cheveux and have the owner do my cut and color. OMG!! She did an amazing job right out of the gate!! She never ever disappoints! I trust her a thousand fold with my hair! Some of the other stylists have given me blow outs only and they are equally amazing. I also get my nails and facials there too! Never a bad experience!! Conveniently located. Fair prices! You can't beat this place! I simply LOVE it!!

I can't say enough good things about Lucia at Cheveux Salon & Day Spa in Glen Ellyn! Lucia is incredibly reliable and always goes above and beyond to ensure I leave the salon feeling fantastic. The entire staff at Cheveux is kind and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is so comfortable and relaxing; it's like a little oasis where I can unwind and feel pampered. If you're looking for top-notch service with a personal touch, Lucia and the team at Cheveux are the best in the business!

My whole family goes to Cheveux for cut, color, nails, etc.... Everyone that works there is great but a special shout out to Kathi, Melanie, and Lucia - they have all gone out of their way to fit us in and even my teen daughters won't go anywhere else.

I left a positive review for stylist Jazmyn that has since left Cheveux along with Danielle and Michelle and the owner removed my review multiple times. I will no longer be using Spa services at cheveux and will I follow Jazmyn

Have been getting massages for a couples years with Tori. She does a great job. Knows exactly how much pressure to apply based on how my body feels. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and always helpful like Robin and others. I highly recommend Cheveux Spa.

I went into Cheveux to get my nails done and had never had a design before. But Kathi was so patient and took her time with me going through designs until we came up with one that I really loved. I have had so many compliments from not only the people in my life, but from total strangers as well. Plus, my nails looked great for weeks! I would definitely recommend Kathi to anyone interested in getting their nails done! She’s the best!

Go see Rebecca she did an AMAZING job with GREAT attention to detail on my nail design I wanted. She is definitely my new nail tech!

I came to get a blow out with Lucia and it was amazing! I have really thick curly hair and she left my hair soo silky and smooth with great volume.

I have been going to Cheveux Salon since I moved to Glen Ellyn several years ago.
Kathy does such a great job with my cut and color. I am very particular when it comes to my hair and Kathy never disappoints!!!!!

Kathi does an amazing job on my nails. She takes time to show me different colors of polish to make sure I am getting the color that I will like. Melaine does an amazing job cutting my hair. I have really thick hair and she takes the time to thin it out for me to make it comfortable for me. She has highlighted my hair in the past and I loved it. Lucy does an amazing job on my pedicures. She takes her time since I have really sensitive feet. I would recommend the salon to my family and friends. All the staff at the salon are always friendly, polite and helpful.
