Most of the (current) staff have very little customer service skill. God forbid you ask for something extra, like a void, or adjustment.. they look at you like you're an abomination. I've long since gotten used to being followed around, as I'm male, and wear leather.. but for how long? A year? 2? At what point do I lose the stereotype? How about instead of acting like you're leaning on just that piece of counter to work on something, just come stand next to me, and have a conversation, while watching everything I contemplate buying.. before inevitably talking myself out of it, because everything's twice as expensive as both other service stations. A few corporate refresher training modules would do wonders here. Or, a secret shopper would be interesting. Staff could care less if your rewards work or not, and have no knowledge of them half the time. Always hiring, (surprise) but general, or perhaps district manager is what's needed. Someone with corporate business experience. It's -20° below zero, so I'll go ahead and patronize for now, but when 3 extra blocks is no longer an issue..
