They always do a good job. I usually book time and it gets done typically while you are there as long as you remember all your documents

You go in for an appointment and still have to wait 30 minutes.

Do NOT expect to get replies from anyone here. They don’t return messages, are always on “vacation” when you do reach out and are extremely unprofessional. Filed my taxes 2 months ago and they still have not arrived. Will never use H & R block again.

DO NOT GO HERE. Go to St Charles. They are a satellite office and completely unprofessional. The office never picks up their phone (even during tax season), NEVER responds to their online portal emails and it's been 2 months and I still haven't gotten my taxes. I was working with Jim and he went on vacation for months and never responded to me.

I’ve never been here but all it took was a 1 minute phone call for me to decide I never want to go here. I called just to ask a couple simple questions about how they work, such as time of payment (do they require payment upfront or do they take out of your return or how that works) & how much they typically charge. Jeff was immediately so rude saying he would have to set up an appointment in order for me to ask my questions & it would cost me starting $200. I said but what i’m saying is i just have a couple of questions before I decide to chose your company to book my appointment with. He just responded with attitude saying “ummmmm” like it was the biggest inconvenience ever. I said if that’s big of a deal then just forget about it. He had an extreme attitude I did not appreciate.

So I am giving 4-stars because it was a bit of a mixed bag, which I can't blame completely on these folks. It's a long story, so feel free to stop reading now, unless you like short'ish novellas...I feel like for what I paid, I ought to have been asked more questions about potential deductions and had the pricing structure better explained. I ended up paying almost as much as I used to for Selden Fox before I began using my friend's tax prep service, without nearly as much effort/interest in reducing my family's tax bill, at roughly the same rate.Be prepared to drop ~$500.00 and possibly owe money TO the government, especially if you're self-employed.In fairness, it wasn't ENTIRELY the fault of H&R Block's guy, who was kind and efficient, although in somewhat of a rush to get to his next client, despite the fact that I'd had an appointment marked out for 45 minutes, and it had only been about 20 minutes by the point that his next appointment had arrived in the waiting area.My buddy's tax prep company, who I'm not going to throw under the bus because I like him a lot, had gotten really popular, and because of his qualifications to defend his clients against the IRS if/when under audit, he began to outsource and use "help" (and I have no idea of those people's certification, if any) in generating people's returns, and less attention was paid to detail, so no effort was made to generate estimated quarterly payment vouchers for the state or feds, so I underpaid by a pretty substantial margin. So, I ended up needing to pay a PENALTY of more than $200 to the state and over $1,000 to the US Treasury *just* in PENALTIES) for "underpayment," even though I DID send quarterly estimated payments as a show of good faith, albeit apparently really low, thanks to whoever my pal let *not* calculate reasonable (or ANY, beyond just blank ones for me to fill in myself) estimated payment vouchers. This year, my friend completely outsourced the tax preparations to a company in the Carolinas, and since I wouldn't be working directly with him anymore, and even paying this other company directly, that seemed like a good exit point for me. I'd actually HOPED to get such a head start on 2021 that I would be finished by the end of February at the latest. Since I was spending days at a time with my Son who was recovering from a Bone Marrow Transplant at Lurie's in Chicago, I figured I would do those after he fell asleep for the night, and incrementally work on them until I finished. Other work (and a bit of laziness) got in the way.Bottom line, I feel like I'm going to need to SERIOUSLY consider doing my own taxes from here on. It *can't* be that difficult if this dude used a template and sped all the way through it in under 40 minutes. I've got to assume that Turbotax must have guided tax preparation, and I'm fairly certain that someone will look over the return before it gets submitted....Watch me not do any of what I intend to, and just come back here next March... ??♂️
