As a OG Swede of Geneva this shop has been a part of our family for generations. Lennart sold me my first Swiss army knife (with my parents permission) when I turned 10 and then replaced countless lost tweezers and toothpicks for little or no charge for years. I loved buying and eating pepparkakor cookies and limpa bread before I could even get them home. Every time I make it back to my home town I enjoy a stop in this shop. Thank you for keeping traditional Swedish decor alive in the fox valley ❤️??

I shopped there today with 3 friends for a gift for a sick friend. The salesperson was very rude and stated it seemed hard for us to make a decision. Was there something wrong with us she asked? What ever happened to customer service? We won't be visiting again, we could spend our money in stores with polite employees.

This is a fun store full of authentic Swedish and Norwegian items, from elegant crystals (Orrefors), beautiful textiles, to cute decorations. They also carry a small selection of snacks. My husband's family is of Swedish descent, so we often visit this store to get gifts. Personally, this store gives me a little glimpse of the Scandinavian arts and crafts... until we visit the part of the world. Make sure you check it out when you are in Geneva, IL.

They have scandinavian food items. And scandinavian kitchen stuff , scandinavian clothes. In the basement tbey have christmas and different sorts of scandinavian cards and books.

This place is amazing! A local treasure that is guaranteed not to disappoint! I spent $100 on gifts for a bunch of friends and should have spent more because they were all such a great deal!!! I guarantee you won't be sad after having spent time with the owner here. They have all sorts of wonderful fares and you'll be so happy with everything you find. I have already gotten a bunch of compliments and thanks for the great treasures I sent along to friends and family. If you're in the area, make some time to come here and you'll find wonderful surprises!!!!!!

No greeting, employee walked away from the counter as soon as we walked in, deliberately making us feel unwelcome. No help offered. Glaring at us as we left. Apparently we don't look sufficiently Swedish to shop here - if you know what I mean.
