We have been bringing our Aussie here for two years because we love Ginny, our groomer, but when they recently more than doubled the price to $140 (before the tip) for a 42 pound Aussie, that was it. I feel bad for the groomers also being a victim of this corporate greed.

I think this is a great place! My dog had a wonderful time and was well supervised and I'm going to bring him back for a playdate again, I think he's going to go every week!!

They did a good job grooming my dog but. The prices doubled in the past year. Used to be $80 for grooming and went up to $155. I will definitely be looking at other dog grooming services.

TL;DR: No longer a trustworthy business, in my experience. I have used Depaw for years and was happy with them, but as they've grown and staff has changed, they have begun to make policy changes (without notifying existing clients) that seem designed to get the most money possible while ruining client relationships. My most recent boarding experience has made me decide to look elsewhere for a boarding and daycare facility for my dog in the future. This past boarding stay, I was not notified that there is a new policy until I was dropping my dog off. Every four months, you have to pay $30 dollars to get your dog re-evaluated as to whether their temperament is suitable for daycare during their stay. Despite my dog having been boarded in May 2023, I was charged this fee for boarding in September 2023 (barely missed the 4 month deadline) but was not notified of this required charge until I was handing my dog over to the woman at the front desk. I had even spoken to a staff member Alex the day before and asked for a full quote of all charges for the stay, and this charge was not mentioned verbally, in the bill summary email i requested, or on my online client portal. I asked the manager Michelle to waive the fee since they had not been upfront about this charge despite multiple opportunities to tell me and given my dog barely missed the deadline. She refused. When I said I felt this was unfair given my long history of both boarding and daycare with them over the years, but she did not care. When we asked how much our dog's temper would have changed during the two weeks past the deadline, we were not given an answer. I have only ever gotten wonderful feedback about my dog during her play sessions and boarding visits. This was very poor management. Additionally, their staff do not seem to understand the policies either, because I get different versions of them each time I call. I was first told daycare was prorated for your first day of boarding, and I would not be charged a full day of daycare if I dropped my dog off in the evening (after all the day care sessions had ended). I planned my travel accordingly. This is not true. If you drop your dog off, no matter what time of day, you WILL be charged for that entire day of boarding even if your dog doesn't actually get to attend any play sessions. I found this out after talking with multiple different people throughout the booking process. I was also told that the silver package is two play sessions per day, 2-3 hours per session. Then, I was advised by another staff member it can be as little as 45 minutes per session. 4-6 hours versus 90 minutes for a whole day is a major difference of play time. I still don't know how long my dog got to play. And that is ridiculous. Which leads me to... The gold package is now the only boarding package that gives you pictures of your dog at daycare while being boarded. Otherwise, there is no evidence they are actually putting your dog in daycare for the entire time that you pay for it or putting them in it at all. You just have to trust that you are getting your full money's worth without any evidence. A picture seems like a basic thing to be included for all packages, but I guess not. With management this poor, I worry now about how my dog is being cared for.

When i called DePaw about boarding our dog for 2 weeks spring of 2023, i asked about the daily fee. I was told about 3 levels of boarding fee, 2 of them with 2 "play periods" a day. I chose the middle one which was at that time, $24.95 per day. At no time during the phone call, did the DePaw employee mention any other boarding fees. (We did get nails and a bath during the stay and those charges were fine). No fees at that time were listed on their website. So, I was expecting a total amount due, per the information provided at the time i made the reservation, of approximately in the $300 - $400 range. When picking our our dog, I was shocked to be given a bill for over $1,000.00. I told the woman taking payment that this was not what i was quoted. She replied that there is an overnight fee as well. This was NOT told to me at the time i placed the reservation, it was not provided to me via any means, and it was not on the website at this time. I noted this in my survey thinking, ok they'll get back to me but no one did. I would like to add that my dog seemed to get very good care. I like DePaw from the standpoint of those who took care of my dog, they seem to love and take good care of dogs. My thought is when boarding with them, make darn sure you get something in writing as to the total of your boarding fee up front.

If you take your pup here, and drive around the building down commerce drive, you will see this kennel they put dogs in all the time. No greenery for them to even pee on. The first time I witnessed it, it was a short haired pitty in the snow and 17 degrees absolutely shouting and barking to get let in. I had to physically walk in to the business and tell them to let that poor baby inside. This place charges way too much to be putting your dog in an empty kennel in the cold and rain and when they jump on the doors to come in and bark for 10 minutes or more at a time, they come out and yell at your dog. I have complained many times because I work on the same street, and they’re always rude. Then they always let the dog in RIGHT AWAY. Don’t take your dog here, I wouldn’t. Not for the price! This is just one of the times I witnessed this!Side note in this video this poor guy had already been barking for 10+minutes, and it was raining/sleeting outside. Then the worker finally came out after I called and complained, and she started screaming at him and intimidated him to back away from the door. I wish I would have kept recording but I HAD TO CALL

Such a great place to bring your dog for daycare, training or grooming. They have a lot of fun activities you can do with your dog to encourage training outside of the basic classes, etc. Our dog loves going here for daycare and always comes home happy!

Cannot say enough great things about DEPAW. We have done one on one training with Grace, who is so knowledgeable and a really sweet person. We've done pack walks led by Deb, who really knows her stuff and makes dog training fun. Additionally, we have trusted our pup to board with DePAW countless times over the last year and have really enjoyed getting to know the staff and they take such great care of the dogs.Highly recommend this facility for ANYTHING per related!

Love! Love! Love it!! My pup (Parker) goes her for daycare, boarding, spa treatment, and school. We've done pack walks and I plan to do agility with him soon.I'm always comfortable leaving my fur baby here and know he will come home sleepy after a day of play ?I even get a report card on his behavior and sometimes photos.

My dog loves going to DePAW! He is a lab/pit mix and is treated like fairly like any other breed. The staff is great too!
