The store is not good at all the owner is rude as ever and the owner has his daughter always working does she ever get a break I see her there from sunrise to sun down doesn’t the owner know he can get in trouble for doin that it’s ridiculous does he not want to pay someone to work.the shelves are empty they barely have anything and the prices are high I can go to Walmart for the same item that they sell their and they are selling stuff from Walmart aldis and Sam’s club i hope they get In trouble does he know he can get introuble and for working her because shes there all the time I get it it’s her dad

We are very thankful and so blessed to have had Hilo Grocery Store remain on S Seminary Street, Galesburg, IL, 61401, for over 50 years open, running, and still going strong, Amen. Nobody no where in the entire USA can beat Hilo Grocery Store's Meat #1 quality and The Best Prices around for the entire stores continued business. This week unfortunately, we have been given some bad news. The latest owner has sold the business, and rumor has it that it's not going to have groceries anymore, and this IS bad news for everyone in this neighborhood especially. We have heard liquor only, will be sold from there in the near future. Devastated, deprived, and destroyed will this community become even more. So sad to see you go Hilo Grocery Store. Thank you for all of your delicious and nutritious fresh fruits and vegetables, finest meat I have ever and will have in my life, and the best mustard potato salad I will ever have and forever miss. Thank you for all the memories. We love you and will forever miss you.❤️?

Everything is outdated, service sucks. Driving by you would think they are closed. Nothing g like it used to be when it was actually Kisler owned....now it's just a large convenience store....awful

I was kicked out of Hi-lo for something a friend of mine was accused of doing on a completely different day, a few months back even!! I can not control what others do and will never recommend this store to anyone!!

I bought some meat at hi lo and the meat spoiled after two days. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Several people have told me that buying meat at hi lo is a risk! The mangers there are rude!

HiLo has always been a Mom n Pop store. I love that! It's fresh meats are great and they have alot of different items some stores don't carry. Always friendly!

Sooooo many weird experiences at this place. The meat is far from fresh. Everything is overpriced. Yada yada yada. I go there for snacks and drinks. Especially stressful and bizarre experience today that forced me to give a review. Due to the seemingly constant woes that store has. I went in to exchange a thing of expired flat soda. I explained the situation to the clerk. A white lady in her 50s. Literally the best way to describe her physical features, right? She asked about the receipt. I explained that one of the owners and one of the clerks were there. The owner being an Indian guy and a nerdy white guy. The previous night's clerk is someone who I see and have conversations with frequently. We connect because he wears n*** gear. I told him to toss the receipt. I didn't even get to finish saying that I had my card before she started huffing and puffing. Shuffling things extra hard before asking "nerdy?" very snotty like. I asked if she was really offended by calling him nerdy. Apparently that's her son. This manager refused to exchange my soda because I called him a n**** Acted way out of pocket and unprofessional over it.I wear more urban attire but I have ninja turtles plastered everywhere. On my phone and wallet that was in my hand. Thankfully the owner from last night, who I described much more poorly, was there. He kindly helped me. I don't see what the hell I did. Clearly this lady is triggered and ready to go.

It's a pretty nice place . I been going there for over 20years .the employees are always nice and helpful ,one even bought my grand daughter a toy for Christmas because she liked him .that's how nice the employees are
