So, after spending $70 on an oil change, $700 on brakes, plus a few random visits to a mechanic in Galesburg, I decided to try somewhere different. My car overheated and I have a cracked rim. Honestly this garage was the 3rd place I called. They say 3 times a charm. They checked my car to see why it overheated and flushed and filled the radiator after determining there was a crack in the radiator. John called everywhere from here to Missouri looking for a rim for me. Charged me $40 total. Later that afternoon after I left, I called him crying. I was about 20 minutes away and my spare tire which I was driving on, popped. He sent his guys out to help me. He got me home. He charged me $80 on the tow!!! Thank you so so much!!!!

Jan 2020 - I was passing through Illinois and had a major issue when my transmission went out. Not knowing the area or businesses, I took a chance on Bloomgren's. They took me to the rental car company so I could get home. While my vehicle was there, they diagnosed the issue, gave me options and pricing, and performed the repairs. I got a rental and came back a few weeks later as it was a major repair around the holidays. I picked up my vehicle and it drove as I had hoped it would. This could have gotten very expensive and went really bad, but they did what they said they would do and my vehicle is running well.

Unfortunately I ran into some very poor service just trying to get a fuel pump replaced. Had an appointment to get it done 1st thing @ 8 a.m. They put it off and didn't get it done until late the next day. Still didn't work, waited a couple of days to make sure, called back and the guy answering the phone was mad because I waited. (Waited because I was giving them the benefit of the doubt) Took it back, they (supposedly) fixed it, and it still didn't work. Decided I didn't want any more rude treatment, so I took it elsewhere. Got it fixed, and these people told me it looked like an old fuel pump that was in bad shape. Don't worry, I don't expect a refund, but I sure as hell expect better service AND TREATMENT from anyone working for the public!
