My husband and I had a great experience shopping here! We were able to talk about our shoe needs, try on several pairs, and I appreciate we weren’t pressured to by the fanciest shoes in the store. We already put a few miles on our running shoes and we can’t wait to run some more!

Amy was super helpful and knowledgeable! She helped me find just the right shoe for me!She explained that due to current global shipping problems that the store has had some difficulties keeping certain shoes or sizes in stock. However, she was able to take my shoe size and pull out several options that fit what I was looking for in a shoe.It was a pleasure visiting here.

Yesterday, I made the GREAT discovery of 6140Run! in Galesburg, Illinois. A REAL shoe store, with high quality shoes. I am SO tired of buying things online which don't fit and I have to return them or live with them, and there is NO ONE, no REAL PERSON, to talk to. Here is an OLD-FASHIONED shoe store, where the people in the store are VASTLY KNOWLEDGEABLE of their product and proud of it and sell by convincing you with evidence and experience of the merits of the product, rather than giving you some canned speech. The impressive woman who waited on my knew ALL of the shoes personally, had actually tried all of them out. She even - you will NOT believe this! - put the shoes on my feet and took them off, like shoe stores used to do 50 years ago! I was SO impressed with her that I bought TWO pair of Brooks shoes from her, KNOWING they'd be right. Which they are! I JUST took a two-mile walk in them and they are awesome. Incidentally, the cost of these high quality shoes in this store is not any more than it is online. Maybe even less. AND, I felt good supporting our own merchants here in Galesburg. You do the same: go to 6140Run! to buy GREAT shoes and feel good about the experience.

For a small town, this place has a nice selection of running shoes, sandals, comfort shoes & work boots too. They also offer sun glasses plus other running needs & muscle tension releasing hand machines. It's next to Lackey Monument just west of the square, so very easy to find. Amy is who I've had service and she's a sweetheart, very knowledgeable & doesn't push you in one direction or another, just advises facts to enable one to make up his own mind. I'd highly recommend shopping local if at all possible.
