This is a convenient post office location in the Galena Square shopping area (where Piggly Wiggly is located). It is easy to get in and out of this location with parking right in front of this post office location. Staff have always been helpful, courteous at this location as well as the downtown Galena location.

Absolutely despise the Galena Illinois Spring street location, a rude and lazy man who sits at the counter unwilling to inform or help in any way is always who I get. And allow me to mention the postal carrier at my Galena mailbox who doesn't deliver my mail when I can prove its in their possession. I hope the government or a branch of the overseers close this place down and fire the employees. Worst USPS in the state

Recently they must of replaced a driver or changed how they operate the service as we are now forced to pickup the packages ourselves. Getting the classic sorry we missed you/package is too big. Even for packages that are no larger than 10 inches cubed are not being delivered. Our lock box is rather large, and in the past they were delivering UPS sized boxes to our doorstep. Talked to the person behind the counter this morning, I was upset that is a fact. But I definitely lost it when he made a comment about never forgetting to handle our packages properly from here forward, using a body language and tone that suggested devious thinking.

It would be nice if the mail delivery person would shut my mailbox.....I'm tired of finding my mail half way down the neighbors private drive cuz the driver is too lazy or incompetent to close a mailbox door
