We stopped in and bought a coffee cup for my husband..We had the pleasure of talking to Joe, who was kind enough to spend quite a bit of time explaining the process that was used to create the very unique coffee cup we purchased..It was such an education! Joe is obviously very knowledgeable about his craft and it shows..We loved our purchase and will make sure to return in the future.

My wife and I wanted to purchase an item (his egg cup) that we like fro a gift. Mr. Pinder was very responsive, packed the item extremely well, and we received it in a few days after ordering it. We are delighted with the quality of the egg cup and the service.

Very great and Awesome Pottery Store in the Quaint Historic town of Galena. Joe Pinder the owner was very informative about pottery in regards to if the pottery is safe to eat and can be used for everyday to other things like a Noggin Cup that I purchase as a souvenir and to use to drink small strong beverages on my Noggin pottery cup besides beer from what I was informed. Also a Noggin in the British Definition is a unit of measurement versus the American Version which was our head in the dictionary. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of pottery and how it effected society during those contemporary times

I stopped to buy a Christmas gift and was surprised by the large selection of pottery! The egg bagelers and bacon cookers are my personal favorite. Who knew these things could be hand made?? Joe is very skilled at pottery and the other artists that have work in his store are equally amazing. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of time it takes to make hand made art. Joe was very warm and answered all our questions. He's a super nice guy and very down to earth! I highly recommend supporting local artists. The only bad thing is that he doesn't do any classes :( But he does do demos and it's so fascinating to watch.

My wife is insane when it comes to pottery, so we naturally HAD to visit this shop. They offer some nice pieces, but to be brutally honest, we were not that impressed with the pottery and very less enthused when we saw the prices tags. Very expensive pieces compared with some others we've visited.

Terrific pottery gallery and shop featuring the pottery of owner Joe Pinder as well as other local artists. Beautiful pottery and if you are lucky, you may get a pottery demonstration to see all of the hard work that goes in to making this beautiful, functional art.

This is a little shop with a demo wheel in the front. The shop showcases the works of local artists and of course Joe Pinder who is in the store. The pieces are all affordable and unique in the artists style. We bought a piece of Joe's work, a garlic keeper. Joe answered many of our questions about pottery, suppliers and how-to books for our daughter. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop by.

I'm glad we stopped in this unique little gallery, which sells the works of a variety of local potters. Pieces offered were functional, decorative, or both; I ended up purchasing a striking vase from a local artist (Pine Hollow Pottery). The owner (Joe Pinder) was available to tell us about the art, the gallery and upcoming shows and festivals. (His dog was also hanging out, and was very cute.) Pieces were surprisingly affordable (I'm used to the art shows in a different area, I guess, where products are more costly). Overall, I would definitely keep this place in mind on a return visit to Galena for art with a personal touch and a local flavor.
