112 N Main St, Galena“Oh my God, Karen N's review is spot on, check it out. We were walking around one night and wandered in here. Kent came down after awhile and we chatted a bit. Very nice man, his clay creations are impressive. Along with plates cups and bowls, he had a few interesting oddball creative pieces. This is a bit off the beaten path but worth checking out. A great find in a unique place, Galena, IL.”
“This art gallery is incredible. My absolute favorite I’ve ever been to. The art is such a fun, eclectic mix- nothing by brand and stuffy. And they have the BEST cards. The local artist work is beautiful and we almost always leave with a new piece of art when we visit. There are also so many fun gift items and less expensive art prints that make great presents.”
“My first time visiting Galena, I fell in love with the picturesque town, the kind people and inclusive community. I began an watercolor art collection which includes art from local artists in towns I have visited. I was so glad when I found this gallery. I found exactly what I was searching for. Carl rung me up and was a kind man. The gallery is small, but roomy. What beautiful artwork!”
“The Galena Center for the Arts is an integral part of the Galena community giving the residents and tourists s chance to check out the frequent art shows (there are new shows every few months) and to attend a small playhouse to view interesting performances. There is a gift shop with beautiful pieces and art for sale that is displayed on the walls of the museum. I love the Broad Ideas program that happens yearly and is such a female positive and overall empowering program.”

225 S Main St, Galena“Along Galena's adorable Main Street shopping strip are many stores to visit, however, Dream Catcher is the perfect place to purchase local jewelry and art. Not only does the art serve as a souvenir, but also a perfect new addition to your home or fashion. I especially recommend the art pieces created by Paul Chase (several pieces are featured on Dream Catcher's website: My partner and I have a vertical art piece featuring downtown Autumn Galena in our kitchen that I get to enjoy daily. It allows me to drift away from my urban Chicago routine to daydream about my laid back visits to Galena. Chase always maintains sharp, vivid colors and always gorgeous imagery. His art has a variety of themes including: farm and outhouses, churches, guitars, wine bottles and motorcycles. If you like any of Chase's art, or anything else you see in the shop or online, you can also make phone orders by calling 815-281-2510.”
“My husband and I stopped into the River Bend Gallery while visiting downtown Galena. Geoffrey Mikol’s photography is absolutely incredible. The shop is light and well laid out, and the selection of media displaying Mr. Mikol’s work gives many choices to decide from. As someone originally from Iowa, now living in Florida, I fell in love with the four seasons barn photos on a piece of barn wood. I highly recommend stopping in to view Mr. Mikol’s beautiful photography, and selecting the perfect piece for your home too.”
