Charming historic B& B. Our first time. Immaculate & comfortable rooms. The hosts were mist welcoming. Enjoyed the specialty cocktails & fabulous breakfast. Thank you Douglas & Robert.
Rooms: Very quiet & air conditioned. Luxury bath products & sheets.
Walkability: We walked into town easily across the river.
Food & drinks: Highlights were the cocktail hour & breakfast.

Love the relaxed yet elegant ambiance! The breakfasts are incredible (award winning!). Robert and Douglas are warm welcoming and very knowledgeable about Galena attractions as well as the history of the area. Just a perfect way to unwind and soak up the area.

This a great place, conveniently located just outside the strip and full of charm and history. Robert and Doug are awesome, on their game, and will give the guest great ideas of things to do in the area. Highly recommended.

The Aldrich house was nothing short of amazing. The accommodations, Robert and Douglas, it was all perfection. I will be dreaming of that “earl of grey” signature gin cocktail for the rest of my life…or if Robert wants to share the recipe I wouldn’t be mad. This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it was simply wonderful.

We loved our stay at Aldrich. The rooms were so pleasant and comfortable. Robert and Douglas were the perfect hosts/owners. We would stay here again!!! Breakfast was amazing!

What a beautiful/charming house and the best B&B couple you could ask for as hosts! Robert & Douglas made us feel right at home and knew we were in for a super relaxed vibe when Robert came to the door barefoot! (His feet are clean btw, and he wears shoes when cooking!) Douglas gave us an informative tour of the first floor of the home and then Robert showed us to our room. The room was recently painted and what a wonderful job! The dark green pops from the white base and ceiling line. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to enjoy a handcrafted cocktail, but we were told by other guests they were very good. Breakfast was a savory waffle with sausage gravy on top and a bowl of "skittles" fruit ? these two gentlemen are selling the property but whoever takes over I'm sure they will have the same passion and hopefully same personalities as Robert & Douglas! Go see them or the new owners and have a wonderful time! There's also a "potting shed" ...check it out on their website!

Staying at the Aldrich House was an excellent experience. The House is lovely on the outside and the interior has been renovated and styled with beauty, taste, and reflecting the history of the house. Each touch in the individual rooms as well as the common areas give a sense of welcome. The color scheme and decor are relaxing while being elegant in a way that is not frilly or overdone. The grounds are lovely and understated fitting perfectly with the House.
The owners called ahead of our arrival to welcome us and give specific details. The checkin time starts at noon which is a welcome early surprise as we are used to times of 3 or later. We arrived and were warmly greeted by the owners, Douglas and Robert, who gave a tour, carried our hugely overpacked (for three days) bags upstairs, and made us feel at home.
The touches: breakfast in the morning inside one day, on the porch the next-so delicious. I could write for days about the wonderful food. Chocolate chip cookies all day, coffee, water, and tea, the Shed (which is a whole other paradise of comfort), and the common areas-all perfectly completed a wonderful stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Aldrich house. It was our first B&B experience. Robert and Douglas made us feel so comfortable and welcome. It was beautiful indoors and out. Super clean and inviting. Breakfast on the porch was lovely, with great food and conversation. Such a nice way to start the day.
The potting shed was the perfect place for us to hang out after a hot day of hiking and shopping!

We are so glad we chose to stay at Aldrich Guest House. Robert & Douglas are so kind, and their hospitality is the best we’ve ever experienced. The house is so clean, their breakfast and cocktails are delicious and the potting shed brought extra little fun! We can’t wait to stay again in the future.

Three friends and I traveled to Galena for a girls trip and our stay at the Aldrich Guest House couldn't have provided a better experience. The house is delightful, the location is perfect, and the Innkeepers were wonderful. Everything either met or exceeded our expectations. I would stay here again and again and recommend it to everyone I know! Thank you Robert and Douglas for a unforgettable stay!
