could not get my phone going so they sent me to the Apple store in madison wi, the address they gave me for the Apple store was wrong, the store was 12 miles away from the address they gave me, you would think they sell apple phones and they would know the address of the store which is closest to them.

This store and the employees work to pressure all customers into phones and accessories they do not need. This is done so they can earn larger commissions.Their sales tactics do not have the end consumer in mind and very little information is provided when questions are asked. Several of the agents are not trained and knowledgeable enough to give you a thorough answer.Several times when an issue arose, the excuse used was that they are and Authorized Retailer and not Verizon. Many things we were trying to accomplish we were told we needed to go to an actual Verizon store.They took a phone on trade in and then pocketed the money and offered no refund or money towards the purchase of a new phone.I would recommend finding a different Verizon Retailer or actual Corporate Store to do business with.

I have been in this store a handful of times for various reasons such as changing cell phone plans, obtaining new phones, etc. I do not live in Freeport, but come back to town a few times per year to visit with family. I do not have a strong opinion either way about the store from these previous experiences.I had recently purchased an iPad cellular through Verizon back home and when in Freeport I had not realized the new iPads are USB-C and then was in need of a USB-C charger given I had not brought the one that came with it. I therefore went to this store first to see what was in inventory. The price I was told for a generic 25W USB-C charger and a 10 foot cable was over $70 (one of the items was $30 and the other was $35 - I do not recall which was which). Thankfully, I had the Walmart app installed and found that Walmart had Apple brand 20W chargers for $17.98 (everyday low price) and a 6 foot Apple USB-C cord for $19.00 (granted was 6 foot not 10 foot. And it was on sale, admittedly - normal price of $35). Mind you, the Walmart is in direct line of sight from this store. That being said, I went to Walmart and was out the door with Apple brand power items for $36.98.Again, no strong overall option from a service/customer service standpoint. But, based upon this experience I think their accessories may be overpriced and actually predatory. Why pay more for generic power cords and power bricks when you can get Apple ones at the Walmart 100 yards away for probably less?UPDATE 10/17/22Downgrading to one star review. I have noticed a trend whereby every family member who switches out for a new phone is enrolled in the device protection plan either without their knowledge or by being told they “have to”. The following month I then catch this and have to cancel. This does not occur at “real” Verizon stores and is downright shady.

Aaron was great! Highly recommend speaking with him because he was understanding, patient and really tries to help you sort any issues out! He stayed an hour past closing time to continue helping us as well.

Elias was so helpful and patient helping me pick out a new phone and transferring my data. He made me feel like there was nothing more important at that moment than meeting my needs. He never made me feel rushed or that I was an inconvenience. Wonderful man!

Lex the manager stayed 2 hours past the time he was supposed to leave just to get us all set up with Verizon. Not once did he complain or treat us any differently because he had to stay late. Much appreciated!!

Absolute worst experience of my life. Started with the phone call to verify stock of a phone later found out that was not even an employee of the store. Started creating an account with them, they found out I owned a business and told me they cant start over now but to come back the next day and they will switch my account to a business account and that it shouldnt take too long. Came in the next day, that employee was gone for the day and I ended up dealing with another friendly employee for several HOURS for this "simple" fix. My first bill was MUCH higher than quoted originally, confused I brought this up to them in person they expressed their apologies and said they will correct it. Soon after my phone service was suspended on Christmas Eve. Went into the store expressed my frustrations was told they are sorry again and will again get it corrected. My service was restored but the following bill showed no changes and again was MUCH higher than quoted. Having to go into the store yet again for the same issue Im told I will not have interruption in service after making a substantial payment on my incorrect bill. Wake up today and my service is suspended again. Every step of this process I have been lied to and deceived. Never again will I suggest Verizon to anyone. I should have taken my service to US Cellular. Other details of this long ordeal have been left out. Horrible experience!

Although they're a little difficult to get on the phone, Jake, Jessica and Sam are always more than helpful when I make it to the office. They've always answered my questions and offer suggestions that are always helpful! They've always solve my problems when I bring them to them.

Sam, Jessica, and Alise 20/10 recommend there customer service is stellar. They actually want to save you money. They make you enjoy the experience of switching saving money and a team like that deserves every ounce of recognition. I hope they have bright futures at Verizon.
