“The Cheesekeeper is a hidden gem located in the west end of Belleville. I only learned about them through the library and their sponsoring of the summer reading program, though they've been in business for 39 years! I visited on a Tuesday morning in June and had a nice conversation with the owner Mark. He told me all about their cheese selections and his love for the town. He recommended two cheeses- applewood smoked cheddar and one from New York. He sliced my portions straight from the block in the cooler behind the counter and gave me specific instructions on how to store it (as I'm no cheese connoisseur and needed to be told ?). I didn't end up needing the information though because the cheese didn't last more than a day, because we ate it so quickly! ?The Cheesekeeper also has a selection of wine available to pair with the cheese, as well as coffee. Mark told me about their bi-monthly cheese tastings open to the public and complete with wine tasting to pair with it. I plan to return for one of the upcoming events.”
“Stopped by to grab a few quick items. As usual the folks working the counter had me in and out in no time. Returned to my car to find it was not inclined to leave. My battery had finally thrown in the towel, much to my chagrin. Popped back into the store to see if one of the clerks would be kind enough to lend me a car for a jump. One of the guys threw a jacket on and came right out to pull his truck next to mine. 5 minutes later and I was up and running and off to the autoparts store. Thank goodness for kind folks!”

“My store for any and everything quick. From the candies we had growing up to the newest Stella Rosa flavors (and all in between)... I shop at R&J all of the time!Will stand by this review still. The only change to the location is the extent and depth of the inventory and selection of products sold. One of my favorite "convenient mart" type stores ever!”
“I came through looking for a certain soda I couldn't find anywhere else around. Cherry Coke Zero. To my surprise not only did they have it, but they had a ton of it! Wonderful clean store with super friendly service. Tons of food and drink options. I look forward to using this location more and more! Highly recommended.”

“This is the most amazing pharmacy I have ever been to because of Katie the Pharmacist, and the entire staff that works here. My family has a lot of medically complex issues, and Katie consistently goes ABOVE and beyond for my family. She checks in on us and remembers the smallest details about our health. She has helped me find over-the-counter medication when we have had sickness in the family. My OB once even prescribed me medication that conflicted with another medication I was on, the staff caught it, and then requested my doctor prescribe a new medication that would not have pregnancy risks for me. I actually look forward to going to the pharmacy because of this team, something that was a chore in the past.”

“Dierbergs is the supermarket known for their local offerings, fresh produce, and inviting lighting. Typically when you are looking for something very specific, you visit Dierbergs. I would compare Dierbergs to Wegmans (if you're on the East Coast). There is something about the staff and lights that make you want to fill a cart immediately. The store is laid out in the fashion where you can get the seasonal items as soon as you walk in (think Christmas cookies or Halloween candy), followed by wine and cheese. They offer a hot food bar for those moments on lunch or just a quick save from cooking. There are not many brands (if any) that will not be available within the aisles. I have never had an instance of not being able to find something I needed/wanted. Checking out is a breeze and pretty standard when thinking of grocery stores. This location also offers a UPS for mailing or mailbox needs.”

“I go here for the vibes. Everyone is pretty cool inside. No one will bother you if you dont bother them. Owners try to keep panhandlers away and do a good job although they cant be everywhere at a time. The community respects the establishment. I gave 4 stars because the food is crazy expensive. EBT accepted.”

“I always get great service in the Shiloh Dierberg's seafood department from a gentleman with salt and pepper hair, wearing glasses. Around Christmas, I am checking daily for the fresh oysters shipment. I came into look and he said he had already had them bagged and waiting.So very thoughtful. Above and beyond customer service.”
