Disappointed with recent news we learned about our senior beagle who had been coming here for years. We brought her in the last couple of years with concerns about drinking too much water and heavy breathing. Each time this place said she was healthy and said it was just a weight issue. We went to another vet where they found very progressed lung cancer that had spread to other organs and we had to put her down yesterday. We had been bringing her here for years and they never bothered to do deeper examinations despite our voiced concerns. I would say this place price gauges and might be ok for general vaccines and other general needs, but I will never recommend this place again or trust another pet in their care again.

I would give them all of my stars if i could, they helped my boy during the last months of his 15yr life be comfortable. They gave him the best quality up until his last day when they gave us a room to mourn him and they were very understanding even though i was a grown man crying for his 15yr old pup. The way they have treated us stuck with me so much that my wife and i brought our new puppy here as well because i cant imagine any other team of vet staff looking after Oro. And thank you for having looked after Turupe as well.

My fur baby has recently passed away and I didn’t know what to do this was my first time ever experiencing something like this. I’ve called other places to find out about cremation even to their sister office that’s closer to me but none of them had the compassion like VCA (Franklin Park, IL) had for me then this office. I say compassion because from the moment your team made sure to answer any questions i has till even afterwards holding my urn until I was able to pick up my fur baby.Another point I wanted to add is this team listened. When I picked up my fur babies ashes there was an I’m sorry for your loss card which the staff signed but what stood out to me was the fact it was personalized. To you as a client you might not think anything of it but when you’re in a time of grievance knowing you weren’t just another client who fue baby just passed you were family.Thank you a GAZILLION times team I appreciate EACH and everyone of you for your compassion and warmth in a time I didn’t think I needed it.From a grieving cat mom.

Service for my two puppies was fine nothing special not the most professional however. The reason I would not give them an extra star or two is because the vet there is very rude one of my dogs needs to lose about two pounds and I was given the third degrees on how I was an irresponsible pet owner. I apologize for my feeding my little ones well my schedule does not currently allow for lengthy walks we do play everyday inside and outside when I get home from work and my pregnant wife can not take them out for lengthy walks in the heat either or she get very fatigued (she does walk and work out with her doctors recommendations but the heat really takes it out of her) so thank you the rude visit and there treats are normally carrots or other all natural stuff that was recommended by a vet we had by our old house.

My absolute favorite vet. The VCA team has been taking care of my pups for 10+ years. Staff is very friendly and warm. Doctors are actually willing to listen and come to a reasonable price resolution. They all have so much compassion for the jobs they do, and it is greatly appreciated. We recently lost my 12-year-old pup. Not only did they send us a card with heartwarming comments from all the staff that personally knew him or took care of him, but they also sent us 3 wallet sized laminated photos to keep Tyson with us wherever we go. Thank you truly from the bottom of our hearts for keeping our babies healthy and happy. You all are life savers. - The Larucci Family

Everyone on the staff is so kind and sweet! My mom brought in her cat for some vomiting/diarrhea, and they immediately got her in and started working with us over several days. Pet emergencies can be such a stressful time but they really care about their little patients! We were scared the kitty would have to go through surgery but Dr. Augustine and the staff did everything possible to avoid surgery while always making it clear that it may have to happen. Thankfully everything turned out okay and we’re eternally grateful to everyone on the staff for their kindness during a stressful time

If I could rate a 10,000 starts I would. The staffing are amazing, the doctors, the treatment . They are always happy to help and always in such a good mood. I love VCA at Franklin Park, they Rock!

Is 4am. My little Chihuahua woke me up yelping with tooth ache; early yesterday I took her to this uncompassionate vet. Here's my story: to start with the initial exam was quoted $90 on the phone. I was charged $106. The receptionist's excuse; "we have new hires" so their lack of training became my problem. I had a coupon for $20.00 from their website. My bill ended up being $86.00 after coupon. The consultation consisted of the vet looking at my dog's teeth. Nothing else!! She agreed it was a critical case of tooth decay, her teeth are falling out by themselves. Yet no prescription for infection and no pain medication until they received records from previous vets. What?? I wasn't told to bring records. What about my dog's comfort? Furthermore, I brought with me all the meds my dog was taking. The vet was incapable of prescribing a simple antibiotic and pain med for my pet's relief. Incredible! So I walked out of there $86 less and nothing for my dog's discomfort . So I'm up again putting anbesol on my pet's gums to relieve her pain. Thank you uncaring Vet! You could had given her the appropriate antibiotics and pain medicine.

Brought my sick kitty here for the first time. All Staff was very friendly from the start when I first called to make the appointment. I called on a Friday morning and they were able to see my cat that very same afternoon. Dr. Biss answered all my questions and was very gentle.I will be returning in the future. Thank you

My vet for 25 years. He has never been wrong about a diagnosis. I soul heartedly trust in him with all my animals everything. Love him. He makes me know my animals are safe…or in jeopardy.
