10205 Grand Ave, Franklin Park“Very organized and clean. Employees were helping customers around me with a pleasant attitude. Careful attention to safety and ease of shopping was given to most racks, displays, shelving, etc. around the store. Clutter and debris was being cleaned up and moved constantly. The Fitting rooms were clean, but only two were open whereas the other 4-5+ were closed off. Great shopping experience overall.”
“Organized and clean. Staff is nice and prices are reasonable. The only issue I had was that the pink and “purple” tags look too similar in Color. Kind of hard to tell the difference especially if there’s a sale going on for either Color. I overheard another lady having the same issue at checkout.”
“This is the most amazing thrift store I have ever seen. There are very beautiful fine china and crystal pieces, furniture, and all manner of delightful fabric furnishings. I didn’t look at the clothing, but I have to assume it is as well curated as the rest of the items.”
“I had great luck here today, 3 items tried/3 items purchased. Prices were higher here than some other thrift stores, but nice stuff. They take Venmo, cash or check but no credit cards. But look out for the non-private changing room, lol. I was in there in my skivvies and someone came in -- I called out around the screen that the room was occupied -- she kept coming! I protested that I was trying on clothes, she said in an aggravated tone, "Yes, I want to, too." When I was checking out I asked about it and they said, yes, women are expected to share a common changing space, but I was assured that men were not allowed in when women were in there. Well I should say.”
“Great place, went for a nail in the tire and guys were attentive and quick. I was out by 15 min, Spanish speaking too! I was happy to say it took quicker than I expected.”

103 S Grove Ave, Oak Park“Been shopping since ‘85. Now I volunteer. It is super fun. I would arrange my work schedule to shop here, because the sale dates are very limited. Put the dates on your calendar! Almost all volunteer run!!! They support several Oak Park Charities. It is a worthwhile cause and a blast to shop. It is an old mansion and each room has a different kind of merchandise. A real treasure hunt.”
“Great resale shop. Really well organized, near, clean and displayed. I'll be going back frequently. Even the books are organized, so the Captain Underpants books aren't mixed in with cooking or adult fiction. A joy to shop here!”

305 W Hillgrove Ave, La Grange“Years a go received their help with dignify and emphatic. Pillars is wonderfull and this store good complement. Thanks so much I hope be there soon.Congratulations”
“Always excited to bring something new snd nostalgic to my home and the feel of the hood where I grew up esp. ! ACKERMANNery Bakery. ALWAYS got My free sugar cookie when I came on Sat. Mornings to pick up fresh goodies for my mom. Better more peaceful times. You certainly wudnt send ur 7 y.o. alone to store these days however ur staff needs to stop following the customer and making them feel uncomfortable and policing the mask. Thank you”
“A small but unique store. I have stopped by several times. Each time I go, the store has completely changed. I always find something to buy. The owner is very friendly and I enjoy stopping there to see what treasures I might need.”
“I saw this place randomly as I drove by, and decided to stop. Extremely glad I did. I found a really nice jacket, and a bunch of little stuff to give as additional Christmas gifts. The folks at the desk were helpful and engaging, and even random customers started conversation and gave advise. Saved in my favorites, I will be back in the new year!”
“Upon first entering The Brown Elephant, you might feel that this is not your average Thrift store. In some sections, it is more organized than other stores of its kind. This store has more furniture than anything else, and the prices were a little higher than your average Thrift store. I would suggest checking in here every once in a while, as their inventory changes quickly. Also like to support this store because proceeds go to health screenings and support for the LGBTQ community”
“I was impressed with the unusual mostly vintage furnishings. The quality of fabrics and workmanship of the clothing and accessories was magnificent. I bought an assortment of incense on this first visit (unplanned) as I tried not to take home pieces I didn't have space to house. The service was welcoming and friendly. I'll visit again and again.”
“It's genuinely one of the better thrift shops. Why? Prices. The pricing is fantastic. Yes this place supports a charity, but they also aren't trying to gauge me for a used item with no return policy. I wish people would stop paying higher prices to other places that are charity driven. Because this model works. They get plenty of donations, they are constantly busy, I always spend a lot of money there. Also Kevin fixes watch batteries! It's perfect.”
10AM - 5PM
8349 W Golf Rd, Niles“This is a small thrift store in a strip mall with a parking problem. (There are signs telling Wings customers specifically where they can't park.) Very well organized inside. It contains mostly quality goods (clothes to household to furniture to jewelry) priced up higher than most thrift stores. However, you sometimes find special items that aren't carried in the Salvation Armies or Goodwills that make it worth stopping in.”
“I love visiting new places, especially resale shops. My friend and I found this shop on Google and decided to visit. The parking is great, the outside of the shop is welcoming, the pricing is fair and the staff were welcoming. The store is very well organized, clothing items are sized and other items are in specific areas depending on the item. They provide a fitting room if you need to try anything on. They do not have a bathroom so beware if you are the person who after shopping for a while need to take a bathroom break you will need to leave and come back. Overall, we were very pleased with this resale shop and it is now on our list of go to shopping places.”

5036-52, 2000, W 47th St, Chicago“I stop here most of the time to check out their ever changing selection of used books. So even if I get a dud, I only spent a nickel or dime. But this place is still pretty fun to walk around, with a musty smell that reminds me of my grandparent's basement. And since we usually drop stuff off here after garage sales (they will accept anything from clothing and furniture, to kids toys), it is always fun to see some of your old stuff recycled. (And yeah, it was hard not for me not to want to buy my old Rock-em-Sock-em Robots back!)”
“Such a great store. They have the best donors so they have lots of fantastic items to choose from. They change their displays with fresh inventory daily. Well thought window dressing. Frequent special offers. One of my favorite weekly stops to drop off my recyclie and reuse, and find new treasures. Come by, I'm confident you will return.”
“I have celebrate at the 2wice As Nice , family and friend functions at this location including my mom And God Child and my family only plans their events at 2wice As Nice ! Thank you for making our events so special., your service is the best and your hall is beautiful!Thank you!”
10:30AM - 6PM
715 S 5th Ave, Maywood“They have a great selection at this location, especially high end items! Just be aware-it’s still a goodwill-it’s always packed, tight aisles, stuff EVERYWHERE. But, for the price, it’s worth the trip”
“Best store ever! ?? LOVE shopping here! I find the best books, clothes, and shoes among many other things. They have so many nice things and a wide variety of a little bit of everything. They have women's clothes, men's clothes, baby clothes, toddler clothes, young adult clothing.”
“It’s a good place for donating items I no longer use. It’s located on the far left for donations. Service was quick and efficient. Employee was pleasant. If you wanted to go shopping, their parking lot is adequate. I can’t comment on the shopping experience since I don’t buy items here.”
“My sister and I saw this place while driving down the street and we had to stop. There are so many nice, quality pieces in here. It's a treasure hunt and the owner is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.”
9AM - 4:30PM
609 W Dempster St, Des Plaines“Very friendly staff . I brought a donate by today in my big truck and I was impressed how friendly the staff and volunteers were to me ! God bless y’all and the service you do for your community! Live, laugh and love others Unconditionally! First Corinthians chapter 13 words to live by always!”
9AM - 7PM
1900 S Harlem Ave, North Riverside“Great location. Found lots of great stuff for great prices. I started reading the other reviews and got lost laughing at all the entitled spoiled brats complaining about the dumbest things. I recommend checking some of them out, very entertaining.”
10AM - 7PM
6001 W Cermak Rd, Cicero“Fun place to spend some time walking around hunting for unique items. You don’t come here looking for something, the store tells you what you need! Found an awesome solid oak coat rack with an old “Property of Cook County” tag on it, and a cool newspaper clipping from the old Rock Island Railway. Deb knew exactly where this piece was hanging up and the story behind it, makes it that much cooler. Would love to see some of the slower moving (kitchen/commercial/restaurant) items cleared out and the boxed items displayed or made more visible. I’m sure there’s some real treasures hiding in this place.”
“Great selection of games! I've bought a dozen or so games from this location - most were $2-3. The box was damaged on one, but otherwise they have all been complete and in reasonably good shape.”
“I go to a lot of thrift stores and this one is the neatest I have ever been in it is clean it is organized and very easy to shop prices are okay but it's worth paying a little bit more to be able to see everything that's available and having everything in its place”
