I had to ship 2 cats to Ireland from Chicago in cargo. The ordeal was very stressful but AA Cargo in ORD handled everything very well. My cats arrived safe and sound in Ireland.

Warehouse staff are older, not kids. They take pride in their work. Even when they're busy, they get you loaded quickly. ( You might have to wake them up, though.)

Avoid travelling with this company for 4 reasons:1: last minute flight cancellation may occur without notice nor reason. This happened to me and my husband on 16/05/22 on flight Paris CDG to Dallas.2: no customer service available on call. You will just wait and waste your money if you try reaching out to AA customer service by phone. The worst? If you ask for French support, the call automatically ends.3: they do not know how to manage flights with transit. Example: still with my husband, on 30/05/2022, we travelled from Cancun to Paris CDG, with a 1h10 transit in Chicago Ohare (flight number AA1503 from Cancun, flight to Paris departing at 6.25pm from Chicago). This was the worst experience ever: no one to guide you at the exit of first flight, we had to guess by our selves that we should move from T5 to T3, keep again our big luggages and register them for the second flight (they don’t handle this service from end to end if you have connections.4: with no doubt, the most antipathic team/crew we ever met. Very sad to say this for the couple of nice people like the pilot, but we have to. As we were in a big rush to take the flight Chicago Paris on 30/05, we arrived in socks directly after the security check, completely wet and tired, almost crying to be honest. One of the women at the entrance, even before saying hello, just rudely told us « please stop here and put your shoes, you cannot enter like this». Arriving in the plane, we asked to a crew woman whether we could switch seats to sit together with my husband. She replied with a big smile that there was no option to do this. Basically it seems that AA team provides no ‘extra’ support rather than giving us « free » food (we paid for it btw) and have no empathy; they do the basic job.Based on other experiences, I would recommend to travel with the following companies: norvegian airlines, delta, air europa and air Canada.

I had a really good experience with the cargo center when I went to pick up my dog after her flight from London to Chicago. I was very nervous about her health and safety after her flight and all the ladies at the front desk were so kind, friendly, and reassuring. My dog showed up healthy and happy to see me with no issues. I’m very happy to have had such great service and would definitely use these folks again if I had to. Thanks a bunch!!
