I've been a client of this firm for over 15 years. When I took a second job that issued me a 1099, I tried to do my taxes myself and thought I would have owed a considerable amount of money. I sat down with one of the partners, and he asked me a lot of questions that were not covered by the tax software I tried to use. It reduced what I owed down to almost nothing!I've used them ever since, and have recommended my friends and family go to see them. My sister had similar results when going from doing them herself to taking them here.Even when I moved out of state, they've continued to prep my taxes and have been awesome. Kevin Blocker is the guy I usually work with, and he has been excellent in communication and patience. When I send my paperwork in to them, I usually have an email or phone call from him within a few days with an update.

Not a fan of this company lately. I was a client of a company they bought out 4 years ago, from my former accountant, whom had passed away. I had a good relationship with my former accountant for years. I recently turned 65 and my financial planner had a few questions for Kevin Rumbaugh, who did my taxes, as to tax implications for next year. He calls me, and rudely states, well if they have any other questions, I’m going to have to charge you. Really. Why I get nobody works for free, it was a few questions.

The accountant did not claim our children or our mortgage interest even though they had all paperwork. Had to file amendment. It’s December, still haven’t received our refund and sit on hold with the IRS every night just to get disconnected. Then the accountant sends us another bill for the filing of the amendment. I already paid for the first service that they messed up and they want me to pay again for the mistake they made and had to fix. Called multiple times and no one will call me back now.

If you struggle with income taxes, these accountants are your solution. I have been relying on these folks for years and love working with them. They are experts in tax preparation, efficiently and accurately completing my tax returns. And so responsive, I can email them a question and have an answer that same day. They are the antidote to tax anxiety!

I can’t say enough about Kathy Kolodziej and her team (particularly Donna). I’d made a serious judgement error in trusting another CPA, and in the 11th hour called (the day before taxes were due) Kathy and my amendments were completed by the next day! Donna (who prepared my taxes with Kathy) was professional and succinct, but she also really listened to me and put my mind at ease. I truly couldn’t be more grateful. I’d ABSOLUTELY recommend this CPA group for any of your tax needs, which they’ll be more then educated to advise you and your needs with VERY FAIR pricing!

Ian is very knowledgeable about tax laws and changes, he is attentive and quick to respond with any questions I have and has taken the time to ensure I understand. I have worked with Ian Eisen at Kolodziej Eisen & Fey LLC for the past 5 years. He has prepared State and Federal tax returns for my wife and myself, as well as for my late mother. These returns included itemized deductions during most of the years as well as investment income and business LLC income and expenses, therefore involving multiple forms and schedules as required.
