Went to the meat counter to purchase salmon. No greeting, no smile; I think I interrupted her day. Lady yelled from opposite end of counter, did I want something. I yelled "yes" and she waited until I yelled salmon to walk over to me. Chose a filet, she weighed it and I then asked if she would remove the skin. She said, "we don't do that." I asked if there was a butcher, she said she is not a butcher. Asked why she couldn't get a "butcher/meat cutter" to remove the skin, she again said, "we don't do that. Do you still want it?" Yes and on my way to the deli (very seldom do I go to the deli).One lady in front of me, no one else. Lady asked for my number, told her I hadn't gotten one as I had just walked up. (Again there was no one else there). She asked what I wanted, told her (1/2 pound Primo Turkey, thin, 1/2 pound baby swiss also thin). I know that was a lot to ask as she was exasperated. She also had no smile, no greeting other than "number?"This is not only your store; I will no longer patronize your store. Your prices are over-the-top ridiculous and the majority of the people you employ make it all too obvious they'd rather not be there or be bothered. You need someone to train your staff that knows (YES I said TRAIN) if a person is offended by the word "train" it's not someone you want working for you because they won't (oops another offensive word) WORK.The quality of your meat is horrible, chicken the same. It's one thing to have to pay a lot of money for something and something we all have to do, but totally another to pay that ridiculous amount and then get a sub-quality product. A lot of that going around.

Very disappointed.When did the Delhi ordered a pound and a 1/2 of corn beef?Vienna.The lady makes the first cut of the meat she said. Is that good enough? I said no shave it. She's so to . Do you know how long that's gonna take? I also saw the lady cutting ham on the slicer. I asked her. Please wipe it down because I'm allergic to pork products.She started complaining to her associate.I think if you're spending 14.99 a pound for corn beef, you should have it sliced anyway. You want it?

Cashier never said a word to me. Never even told me my total. Baggers were too busy talking about Call of Duty to do their jobs, so I had to bag everything myself. What looked like a manager walked by and didn't say a word about it. Don't think I'll be coming back.

really don't know how some of the employees here got a job. a few are friendly but not all. The music is hilariously loud too. Someone I know got hit by a cart in the parking lot. My family calls this store "crazy town" for a reason

Went in tonight to purchase a few items, had alcoholic beverages I wanted to purchase in hand and was looking at formula. Employee Gina said she could not open the formula case so that I could purchase formula. I said it was ok because I was just looking. She saw that I had alcohol in my hand, I followed her up to register and had my items ready to purchase. She then got on the intercom and announced she could no longer serve alcohol while looking at me. She then refused to let me purchase the items she saw I had. Jewel has lost a life long customer. She could have let me know that I needed to purchase the alcohol before 11pm. I called Jewel Osco on laraway and they informed me they sell alcohol until midnight. Very strange that frankfort doesn’t and also can’t give formula out after a certain time? We will not be back and we will be telling everyone we know of this experience.

i went shopping today with my sister and bought a gallon of chocolate milk, she poured a glass for herself and was immediately disgusted by the awful taste it had. she went to check the gallon and it had been sitting on the shelf 10 days after the expiration date. horrifying.

I like this jewel a lot. It's big enough to carry everything I need but not so big that I have to search for everything. And their coffee cake danishes are awesome!

Employees working drive up orders are rude & always get the order wrong. Items out of stock are to often common place. Especially anything on sale

I visited our Frankfort Jewel on Thursday, July 20, 2023 with my 91 year old father and 86 year old mother. We walked through the produce entrance, where I immediately saw an electric grocery cart that my elderly father needed. We came through the doors and the sliding door closed and locked behind us. I tried to activate the electric scooter and it had no power. I flagged down a male employee and told him I needed a scooter, and he told me “to go outside and around and get a different scooter.” Silly me, I guess I expected him to help me. Instead he walked off. I flagged down another male employee and he opened the sliding doors for me to access the scooters. BUT, the scooters were placed very tightly into the corner with big shopping carts against them, making it impossible to access the scooters!!! I told the employee the scooters were impossible to access and he told me, “I would have to do it.” And he walked off. You can’t make this up!! So, left to do it myself, I climbed over the electric scooter and got into the seat, unplugged it and rammed it through the carts to get it out!! Believe me, no handicapped person in need of a scooter could have, or should have, done that. I should not have done that. But, my 91 year old father was desperately waiting to sit down and needed a scooter that was stupidly placed in a corner, that could not be accessed!! And, that employees would NOT assist me with. When I finally got the scooter to my father, a kind customer was waiting with him, because she said he looked in need of help!! This Jewel is Horrible. Incompetent. Dangerous.To make matters even worse than these two offenses, is that there was a third offense — 3 problems in just one visit! It’s hard to believe! But, I swear it’s all true. As a matter of fact, this is the first review I’ve ever written. I am not by nature a complainer. But, I’m so sick of poor service and poor attitudes, made only worse by high prices and excuses by management. I am positive that most consumers would agree with me!! Further, I would have gone back to Jewel and complained in person to the “customer” service desk, but when my mother asked them for help with Lotto questions, they pointed to the machines and told her to do it herself. Not only was the customer “service” desk not helpful, she said they were very rude!! Unbelievable. I guess management could try to argue there aren’t enough decent people to hire. But, if that’s the case, I would do my darnest to train them better. I would even be willing to help.

I ordered a cake and it was dry. Even the whipped cream icing was stiff. It seemed like it sat in the fridge for a few days. Hardly any filling in it either. Very disappointed!

Staff has always been nice. However, I always find old looking meat when I go there. I started shopping somewhere else for meat for that reason and shopped here for everything else. But now I’m finding old produce. Maybe the produce I got this time was just a one time thing, but I’ve been seeing the old meat for some time since I’ve moved here. I don’t know why this is a problem, but Im overall not too comfortable purchasing fresh groceries here anymore. I never have a problem with this at other locations, and I think I’m just going to travel farther if I want to shop at a jewel.

This was the worst shopping experience I've ever had at a Jewel!! I worked for Jewel for 13 years and this would never have happened back then! Such rude employees and astronomical long wait time at the deli, totally unreasonable!!!

Every time I go there they screw up the prices. Have to watch like a hawk and then ask them to correct it. If I don’t watch—they overcharge me. Very frustrating.

They are the only store that has stock of what they sell normally. The only issue I have w this store is the deli closes at all different times. I’ve wasted my time and gas driving there after checking their website for the hours only to find them closed 3 hours before their posted closing time. Very frustrating
