Well I was right there with you and for years I used a well known discount insurance provider known for their clever ads where their employees are dressed like old school grocery employees with price guns supposedly just marking down insurance prices left and right. I won’t mention the company by name but it rhymes with DEPRESSIVE! When I started my first policy the price was unbelievable but once I was in my premiums went up every time the policy was due for renewal, despite the fact that I’ve never filed an insurance claim for any reason.
Seriously, I have never filed a claim and my premiums more than doubled over a ten year period.
Well those days are over for me since I switched to State Farm 2 years ago. First I switched just my auto policy but have now bundled my home and boat policies with State Farm as well. When it came time to renew my auto policy after the second 6 month term my premium dropped. I bundled my other policies and my auto policy dropped to less than half of what it started when I switched over.
If you live in the Lake county area, give Kent Rouse and his team a call and they will make the whole process of switching your policy quick and painless. I think the entire process for me took less than 10 mins real time and maybe an hour total for all necessary forms to be signed and sent back and forth. Everyone I’ve dealt with in their office, especially Sandra Simon has been super friendly, knowledgeable and able to help right away with anything I’ve needed. Thanks to State Farm’s fair, honest pricing and Sandra’s forthright, friendly and professional manner I expect I will be a State Farm customer for life. Keep up the great work!”
“I added a car to my policy then removed it a couple of months later when I donated it to charity. Somewhere in the midst of that, my umbrella policy went up due to a second accident (two different cars & two different kids in the accidents). I had a difficult time figuring out what was what.
I called my agent's office and spoke with Ethan for at least 20 minutes, throwing question after question at him. He followed along and was able to answer all my questions. I have interacted with several of the agents at this office. Always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Kudos!”
