Worst experience ever. Dropped off a chair was told 2 weeks. Called every Saturday for weeks 3,4,5,6 and was told every Tues it would be ready. Went in after 6 weeks on a Saturday and the chair was in the exact same spot as I Dropped it off. Told him since he hasn't touched it to just refund my deposit. He said he didn't have the much money there and the store doesn't have a checkbook for a refund. He told me to return on Sunday and he would have my cash. I went out and bought a new chair and then returned Sunday . He repaired the chair and refused to give me my refund even though the chair was replaced. Then told me it was bad communication on my part. Even though every communication was on my efforts never once did he call me. NEVER AGAIN. Save your time and efforts and money for companies that communicate and are truthful.

These guys are amazing! My cat decided to use my kitchen cabinets for a scratching post. Tried to replace them but they were discontinued years ago. Took one of them to these guys and it came back like new. Very responsive, affordable and they had it done when they promised. Highly recommend them.

I've been bringing in pieces to the Furniture Doctor Shop for a number of years and I've always gotten great work performed. Sometimes because of dtaffing problems or too much work in the shop the work has been a little bit longer that I wanted. Given the type of business he's in, it seems that depending on the time of year you bring it in depends on how fast you get it back. Taking that into account I have never been let down with the performance and appearance and excellence of his work.

Had oversized chair reupholstered. Cushion was redone oversized..doesn't fit the space. Stitches left undone.

We dropped off the dining room table to be refinished in early December, as we were going to be out of town until the middle of January. The ladies who helped us bring in the table from our car were very nice. I left a hundred dollar deposit. When we got back in town, we stopped by to see how things were going. It was just being stripped and they said it would be done in the next week. They called and we went in to pick it up only to find the top with, maybe, two coats of varnish. Still grainy looking and not smooth. They said they would add three more coats at no extra cost!! They sent the legs home with us where, upon closer inspection, they hadn't even been refinished! The next time they called, we decided to go get the table and take it with us even if it wasn't the way we wanted...and the top was almost smooth. However, the sides had maybe one coat of varnish on them! I was expecting a finished product and am very disappointed in their work. My husband will complete the varnishing, despite paying almost $500 for them to do it. Would not recommend The Furniture Doctor.

NO communication. they kept (and lost) a part i needed replaced on an old piece of furniture, so, it effectively made the furniture useless. be VERY careful when dealing with this person. lucky for them there aren't any other furniture repair shops, or they'd be out of business.

Top quality uphostery job on my sofa. My sofa was in bad shape due to the wear and tear of my family. Great customer service, and was completed in a reasonable time frame. I would recommend the Furniture Doctor Shop to my friends and family.

At this time, I am giving them one star. Dropped a trunk off six months ago. My husband was told it was be done early January. No calls or communication. I call late April to be told some story about the delay and told it was almost done and would be ready in a couple weeks. Six weeks have passed and no communication again. Left a message today so we will see what the story is this time. Have paid several hundred down and am not happy! I did call the business and was told it would be done in two weeks. Then nothin again. Left message two days ago and no call. The no rush was in response to the timeline you gave meaning that was fine, not that it was okay to take an additional five months! And yes there was $200 put down on this so there is several hundred paid!

Work finally done after nearly six months gone by, after promises to be done earlier. Communication is rare and difficult. Doesn't return voice messages. You have to get lucky and get live. The work seems good though.
