I always shop on Saturday because you can receive $5 off a purchase of $25. I'm also a member of loyalty club that also saves on coupons on the website. I usually save on average $8 to $10 on one trip.

Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Employee Conduct at Fox Lake Store
To Whom It May Concern,
I am a recent resident of Ingleside, having moved from Chicago, and have been shopping at your Fox Lake store since my arrival. Unfortunately, I have had several negative experiences, culminating in an incident earlier this month that was particularly troubling.
On this occasion, an older cashier (a white male in his late 40s or early 50s) behaved in an unacceptable and aggressive manner. He yelled at me, demanded that I leave the store and not return, and then proceeded to throw change at me. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning.
I will be contacting corporate headquarters to report this incident and sincerely hope that appropriate action is taken against this employee. The management at this location appears to be equally prejudiced and immature, making it futile to address my concerns or injuries with them directly.
As a community that serves families and individuals who need groceries, Lake County must strive to create a safer and more respectful shopping environment. Consumers, especially those with children, should not feel threatened while shopping in their neighborhood stores.
Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to seeing improvements in the conduct and professionalism at your Fox Lake location.

The store has one working register. The store is like a couple of years old and seems like corporate doesn't care to fix them.

Hardly anyone at counter self check out doesn't work carding people who are obviously of age for cigarettes lost me as customer I'd rather shop family dollar or dollar tree

They close at 9 and at 8:55 PM. They looked right in the eyes and shook their head and didn’t let me in.

Purchased ornaments about a month ago. Today I wanted to exchange them for a different color. Cassie the associate said she could not accommodate my request because the store has since updated their registers. Even though I purchased them at the Fox Lake location, she told me I had to drive to the Round Lake store because they had the old registers. I told her I was not going to drive to another store since I purchased them at this location. She was so rude!! I would advise Dollar Generaal to provide additional training for her! So unprofessional!

Went for Thanksgiving/Black Friday deals. Sales associate refused to honor sale prices in ad. Also refused to sell me items I couldn’t find claiming they weren’t in stock. I sent another family member in an hour later and items were in stock. They still refused to honor the sale prices though. Reporting this to corporate.

Shelves are always stocked. Staff always greets you upon entry. You can browse through the isles and find great things. The staff has always been pleasant. They have a great variety of things there. Not to compare, but I’ve been visiting DG a lot more than Family Dollar down the street. Thank you DG staff you guys are doing a great job.
