Why is this post office at this location closed this morning?I just left the Forest Park Postal Office at 9:15am. No notice on the doors why is it closed.? No national holiday today office near Desplaines.

PSA: This post office is closed in the middle of the day for 1.5 hours (11-12:30). Also, be sure to arrive more than 5 minutes before closing time. They will not serve customers even one minute past closing time, including if you arrive beforehand — they tend to lock the door early.

Went there on Friday February 9th , got the 3rd time , to my surprise, they were closed for lunch, came back spoke to Tanya, and asked her , the reason the post office was closed , this lady ignored me, requested a supervisor, she ignored me proceeded to mail my items and said hope it does not get lost , the lady got upset , and refused to take my package, incident like this happens way too often in the post office , you are there to do a job and interact with a customer, no accountability at all , and I hope the city council can step in , so that there is some type of checks and balances, whether is to hire more people for the post office, as well as see to the complaints of customers, unfortunately I can not mail my package online, this sense of being nonchalant to customers need to stop

My package has been sitting here since the 16th, I understand it taking a few extra days because of mlk day and snow days but there has been litterly no movement at all nor any updates on what’s going on,all the other mail carriers are back to shipping stuff out .

So sad to see so many one star reviews. My experience may be different because I’m usually just a drop off. Everyone is kind and quick. But I truly have never had a complicated order. However, every other post office I’ve been to has grumpy employees for even simple drop offs. Not here! I appreciate it.

It took 1-say longer to get a package delivered from china (7787 miles away), than it did from Middletown, OH (240 miles away) .Yup - That's right! - On 02/07/2023, the package went from the Post Office in Middletown to Youngstown, to Warren, PA, and arrived in Chicago (60502) just 24-hours later (from OH to PA to IL, all in 24-hours). From 02/08/2023 my package moved from 60502 to this location 60130 postal facility (33 miles from my location), and then DIDN'T MOVE for 4-DAYS (that's 4-days), and when it did move, They sent it to the wrong Post Office, which is just 5 miles from my location, where it sat for 2 more days, when it finally made it to my Post Office 8 miles away (farther away than the wrong Post Office) on 02/16/2023, and then was delivered -Hallelujah- ... A total of 9-days later ... My package from Shenzhen China took 10-days to deliver ... Due to their continued poor and inept performance, the Post Office was rewarded with, still another unwarranted rate increase last month ...

If I can give them NO star, I would!! I trust that this is not the way USPS does business but Its been 2 months and haven’t receive my package from my cousin.. and it happened… twice already!! Really POOR SERVICE!! They don’t even give a refund for the first one, now they still couldn’t track my 2nd package.

I currently have a P.O. Box at this location and the lobby hours for P.O. Box are not accurate.
