I highly recommend Sylvan Tutoring Services!!!!!!!
My son, who's in 3rd grade started attending Sylvan Learning in Oct of 2023. He was struggling with reading (phonics). Sylvan gave my son an assessment test, he test at a 2 grade entry level. I had a meeting with Mr. Michael (director) to go over my child's needs. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. About 24 sessions into the program my son test at 3rd grade entry level. Around the same time my son took an assessment at his school and tested at his grade level. We are still in the program and my son have continued to show improvement!

What a great team! Our son benefited greatly from attending Sylvan primarily for reading and writing post quarantine to recover some learning loss from e-learning. He was able to progress well above grade level in some areas! We resumed sessions about a year later until recently primarily for writing help. Our son was able to gain admittance to a gifted and talented camp with the generous support of the Director and staff. We appreciated the care and attention given to our son and his unique strengths and challenges. He enjoyed his sessions and we won’t hesitate to return in the future for additional support with our children’s learning goals.

They have been great in helping my sister with her GED. All teachers have been able to explain the concepts well, and the director was able to create a personalized plan and utilize the practice book we bought her to guide the practice along. Overall I’m very satisfied.

My son scored a 1310 on his practice SAT but his ultimate goal was a 1500. It was his idea to take SAT prep classes and he was committed to improving his score. I found Sylvan and had heard they had a good program so we signed up. My son was signed up for 2 SAT tests, one in April and one in May. His April results returned a 1450 and his May test results revealed he attained his goal of 1500!! He is thrilled! He also mentioned that the strategies he learned during the program have been helping him with his current classes and AP tests as well. While I was hesitant initially due to the cost, I am glad that we signed up for the program because in the long run it was worth every penny. Thank you Sylvan! I highly recommend.

Two of my daughters attend Sylvan and I can truly say that my husband and I are very satisfied with the quality of service we have received through the years. They both are excelling in all subjects it was well worth every penny.

We have taken our Grandson here 1st when he was 6yrs old and they did a wonderful job with him so when he got to 7th grade we noticed he needed help a 2nd time and the only place we saw fit to take him was back to Sylvan of Forest/Oak Park Learning Center. He does so well once the teachers teach him the skills needed to learn His Way. No one learns the same exact way or at the same speed and here children learn Their Way and thats what we like about it here. Once you are apart of the Sylvan Learning Center Family you are always apart of their community. Thanks Jana for all your help. The Curtain Family

My 14 year old daughter has been going to Sylvan Learning for Math tutoring for almost 2 years. We transferred her here from Mathnasium because her grade actually got worse and she continued to struggle. She had a low C average at that point, was not confident and hated math. Over her time at Sylvan, she has gained confidence in Math and knows how to approach a problem. She doesn't hate math any more and her Algebra grade this quarter was an A! Her teacher told me that she helps others in her class when they are struggling to understand. I absolutely know that Sylvan has made the difference not only with her grade, but her attitude toward learning in general. Many, many thanks to the staff at Sylvan Learning in Forest Park!

Our daughter has been coming to Sylvan for almost a month now and we have see major progress. She comes 3 times a week for kindergarten readiness tutoring and she LOVES It so much she doesn’t want to leave. Sylvan does assessment on your child to ensure they are only learning what needed, rather than what they already know. Also they make goals and plans for your child on where they should be by the time they are done with tutoring. So far we having a great experience with Sylvan Learning Center and love how personalized it is. We look forward to seeing our daughter’s progress within the 8 months she is signed up for.

They are very professional and are taking the proper precautions for Covid-19. The director of the center takes the time to go over the assessment so you fully understand where your child is at and does not pressure you to commit to anything. The tutors are caring and are helping build my daughter's confidence with each passing sessions. I highly recommend this center.

I appreciate Sylvan Forest Park because of the high level of attentiveness and care they exhibit to my son’s growth and development. Kids have different needs, and having instructors and strategies in place for each type of learner is something I have seen they are able to effectively execute. If you are looking for a place for homework help, specific subject matter assistance, summer enrichment and/or ACT/SAT help, I recommend to give this learning center a shot.

My kids have been studying at Sylvan for about a month. My daughter is doing the SAT prep/speed-reading and my son is learning better study skills and organization. The director Jana, and her staff are excellent. One thing that impressed me right away is that Sylvan has solid diagnostic tools that allow them to accurately assess your student's specific needs and develop a teaching plan. I'm also amazed that my kids actually like going! My daughter even begged me to schedule a make-up session when she had to miss one. Both kids have told me that the teaching is useful and that their self-confidence has increased. I feel that we've made a sound investment in our children by choosing Sylvan.

Sylvan has been an AWESOME experience for my daughter. Not only did Sylvan help my daughter establish healthy homework and studying skills in elementary school helping her to move from a C student to an A/B student, but Sylvan was the first and only place I trusted to help my daughter prep for her ACT.
