My cat had quite a large matt that we couldn’t get out. Jenny was willing to make a house call and comb it out for us! She was prompt, and handled our anxious cat like a pro. Would recommend her services to anyone.

Will not be going back. Took dogs in for trim, wash and blowout between cuts. Showed pic and asked for both Bernedoodle's trims to be the same.
1. The two face trims are very different, and both off.
2. They were the same cost or more expensive than cuts, washes and blowouts I've had at other places ($100/each), which was a bummer because I would have just taken them into their regular place, for their regular cuts had I known how this would turn out. 3. The most disappointing aspect was how it was handled when I called back.
4. "Fun" fact: This makes two dog grooming owners in the area who have yelled at me. I have not experienced that with any other business owner. It's a strange one!
Experience: Left a few messages over the past few months and didn't get a call back. They answered this week and got dogs in within three days (very exciting). Brought in pic, which they suggested. I've not done that before but liked that they suggested it. Pic used for reference was of Goldendoodle. That was not one of their cuts. Our black and tan's dog's eyebrow is cut almost to the skin and is fairly different than pic. Our white/multi-colored dog's trim was very different than reference pic and our other dog's trim, and with a very uneven top and front.
I realize this can all be very tough to accomplish; there's a reason I don't do this myself, but when I called back to discuss, I was met with defensiveness and asked (in an unkind fashion) why I didn't say anything when there (reason is because I had to hop on a work call, which I mentioned at the time).
I asked if the woman saw the pic they suggested I bring in. She had not seen it and explained how she interpreted the notes. Even then, I'm unclear as to how the trims on my dogs' faces are so different from each other and from the pic.
She did offer for me to come back in today, but after her tone and comments I didn't feel comfortable or confident it would work out. I asked if we could work something else out, did say I might post about it and the more we talked the angrier she became, ultimately saying, "This is probably why you're going from groomer to groomer. I will let everyone in the area know." She then hung up.
As for other groomers - I've liked trying different places out in the area because they're all so different, but this is the first time I've gone in for just a trim and wash and the first time I've ever complained about a cut. Ever. I do have a review up about the male owner at Diamond in the Ruff, who yelled at me after I picked up my dogs (had been going there for 1.5 years). Seems he does this often, as CBS News Chicago recently aired.
All this said, I do enjoy Bubbles & Brushes. In my experience, they are the friendliest, most reasonable, most predictable and provide the most consistent cuts in Oak Park. And while you have to book far in advance, there's a good reason for that!

I highly recommend this place!!! They are the best and have so much patiences with our dog Dex. I've taken Dex to other groomers before taking him to Pet Emporium and unfortunately because he is a vocal frenchie I had one groomer call me 10mins after dropping him off to pick him up and the other groomer heard him and refused to take him.
Dex's coat looks great after his visit, clean, soft and smelling great! I'm always satisfied! Thank You!

My dog loves boarding and daycare at Pet Emporium. I like that they have an outdoor space. Jenny used to be a vet tech and is very knowledgeable about dogs and cats and you can rest assured they are in good hands at Pet Emporium.

5 stars so far from just from reading thru the reviews and seeing how and when the groomer chose to respond. I have an appointment next week, and of course I read the reviews (all of them) before booking my appointment and deciding to trust my kids with a new groomer. I just want to say that, so far, Pet Emporium's replies to negative reviews is what made me decide to choose them. Reviews are very one sided and the fact that this establishment took the time to reply to negative reviews with their side of the story honestly makes me happy that decided to make my appointment.

Jenny I believe her name, is the groomer who said she nipped my dog in the chin because he was wiggly. I get home and look around see no marks on his chin but I see his tongue, much different than what it was before and it looks like the groomer cut his tongue with the Clippers. Very unprofessional for not even bringing it to my attention as this has become an issue.
